I bought this game as a joke for 2 dollars during a sale, but oh my god this game was great. I came into it expecting it to be just another doom clone but with pop culture references. And although it being that, it was more. It was a bit more advanced then the original two dooms with you being able to have proper aiming and being able to jump and crouch. The enemies are much more varied than typical older "doom clones" with almost each enemy being almost entirely different. There's the pig cops with shotguns and the flying trooper things, which are the first 2 you meet. After that they get progressively more and more advanced. Flying cacodemon like creatures which shoot plasma/fire like balls. Another big thing I like about the enemies is the fact that the big bosses at the end of each chapter being smaller normal mini-boss like enemies in the following chapters. Speaking of the chapters I really like how each chapter has a different theme and truly feels seperate from each other. At the end of each chapter you are expected to have almost every weapon to fight the final boss. Which moves us on to weapons. Each one has its own purpose and place. pistol, shotgun, chaingun, and melee (which is dukes first) which are the standard weapons for fps games. Then we got the bigger guns rockets, devastator, pipe bomb, shrinker/expander, and later in the new chapter incinerator which is a secondary form of the freezer. Now onto the new chapter of the 20th anniversary edition. It focuses on Duke going to different areas around the world and doing what he does best kick alien ass. The final location being the hollywood sign which seems very fitting for Duke. Once you get to the top your greeted with the final boss. Duke claims, "I'm gonna roast your nuts over an open fire you flaming alien B****." and then the battle begins. It's a fairly lame fight but still cool. The boss only shoots out fire and is fairly easy to avoid. Just let out an entire thing of devastator ammo and a few rockets and he's gone. As you can tell by extensive review, 24 hours or so of playtime, and having every achievment I love this game.

10/10 fantastic game
