"DLC" is likely a misnomer, its more of a micro-transaction bundle, which the company gives out free when it launches. Sort of a log in bonus kind of thing, that if you missed the timing of, you can still buy for money to support the devs. There is nothing exclusive to these season DLCs, you can get all the things included in normal play. Its just the devs being very pro player for a free to play game.
