Zen and the Art of Xena

When gamers who are Xena fans (and, seriously, we are out there) heard that the show was to be part of the 'TV classic' bundle,
it sent a little jolt of excitement into the fan community. That's because, even at the peak of Xena's success it seemed that she
was held back. Was never allowed to reach her full potential...
That's why it was such a delight to see that XWP had been included in this 'TV classic' bundle. Tbh, most game playing Xenites that I've known don't really play pinball. (I quite enjoy it.) But they were very interested in this bundle. At the very least you mighta made a few first time sales, and introduced a new community to the wonderful world of shiny steel balls.
But one of you Powers-That-Be made a horrible mistake. A mistake that I missed noticing as I gleefully took screenshots of the table to show curious Xenites. It was something that everyone else in the Xena community that I frequent immediately noticed.
It was GABY. G-A-B-Y. [pbs.twimg.com]
And, once I did notice it, it became a huge glaring blemish. Firstly, because Xena always called her Gabrielle. Always used her full name. Arse and Callisto usually did too. It was actually Joxer who mostly calledl her Gabby.
So, yeah, it shoulda really have been Gabrielle.
However, if TPTB did wanna go short, the least they coulda done was spell it right. It's not complicated. G-A-B-B-Y. I mean, come on, this was Xena's girlfriend-to-the-end ferchristsake. Show a little respect.
Of course, I've already bought the bundle and I'll play the Xena one (it really is a fun and challenging table) until I get the balanced chakram achievement.. but, as a fan, and until this boo-boo gets fixed, I'm afraid I've gotta give it a thumbs down. I also won't be purchasing any other tables here, either. I just can't.

Please note: I will happily rewrite this review once the problem has been patched up.

Baldur's Gate 3 is my pick for Steam's 2023 The Best Game That You Suck At award.. Probably no surprise that I picked it for the Better With Friends award, as well.

Retrowave is my nomination for the 2022 Steam Awards' category of "Outstanding Visual Style."
(And even though I feel that 'outstanding' is a bit of a stretch, I also feel that the 1980's neon pink and blues, along with the grid like tracks, make this 2022 release a legit enough contender for this award.)
As for the game itself, it's easy, fast and cheap.
Kinda like this review.

The Witness is a puzzle wrapped up in enlightenment, which is then served as a joke.

The Witness was also my nomination for Best Environment, in this year's prestigious Steam Awards. Not because it's an especially breathtaking environment, but because it is, in every respect, a wonderland.[cdn.discordapp.com]

It's not just Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe, it's also my pick for Steam's soon-to-be new award category "Free and Easy."
Because, let's face it, the world needs more free and easy stuff.

I'll take my badge now, please.

It's that time of year again, folks. The 2019 Steam Awards.
This year I hope to complete the task of 'review (or update your review) for a game you've nominated' by updating this review of Tic-Tac-Toe.
I am updating it because I realized that I spelled 'category' wrong when I originally posted it, back in 2017. (Misspelled it as 'catagory'.)

I really enjoyed this game!
I actually finished it a couple of months ago, but find myself still drifting back into it.
There are so many nooks and crannies and air vents and sewers and apartments to discover and rummage through. And, though I've found a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of them - still, I know there must be more.
For instance, I never came across that damn Portal companion cube - you know, the one that everyone else seems to have a screenshot of.
Since I know, for sure, that's still out there.. who knows what else out there, I might've missed.

Why Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is my 'Steam 2016 Game Within a Game' Nomination
I also started building a huge fort outa the thousands of moveable boxes, dumpsters, refrigerators and soda machines, that fill Prague.. and I really wanna finish that, too. Once it's done I'm gonna barricade myself inside, then set off the, ever-so-touchy, military police, which should be exciting.
I think I'll Twitch it, even.

You're all invited.
