If you squint, this is Dark Souls.

Seriously though, imagine Dark Souls and Sekiro both mixed into a game.

After beating the game, its time for a review:
Yes indeed, this is your next gen Bamco game that you have been waiting for.

World is huge, I mean HUGE. To the point that I almost felt uncomfortable playing it after the other Souls games. You are just wandering and wandering and wandering till you find something useful and exploration simply just takes away too much time. But honestly...it's an open world game afterall, what did you expect?
Obviously large part of the game can be played by the player itself, but when it comes to questlines and stuff like that, it still requires Souls level precision. Let me know if anyone can beat the game 100% achievements without opening a wiki. Let me spoiler - you will need a wiki.

Bosses are quite on the easy side with some exception. Half of the bosses were in the "First try" category without any challenge, other half is a mix of those battles that you need to practice a bit before getting the hang of it. And then there are the exceptions. Like Malenia that i've spent countless tries to beat. Completely out of balance compared to other bosses.
Was expecting a wider variety of bosses when it comes to difficulty, not just the 2 extremes.

PvP:
Don't even get me started. The cesspool of it's kind. Complete d.o.g.s.h.i.t. Try it out and you will see.
At it's current state it is completely broken. 80% of people I have invaded were just hunting invaders for giggles. You are invading them, you get either 1 shot or brutally comboed to death, you die, you try invading again. Rinse and repeat. As a former invader in DS3 with a few thousand hours of experience, I see no future in Elden Ring PvP.

What I also enjoyed in previous Souls games is the music. This one is no exception. Greatly composed tunes they are indeed, but sometimes it's just simply not fitting. Main menu theme is literally giving off some superhero movie vibe which I'm really not a fan of.
Also with the huge amount of bosses, they couldn't keep up with the music, a lot of smaller bosses share the same few boss songs. But honestly, this is understandable and forgivable.

What else can be summed up in a review? I don't really like to give detailed reviews because im not a man of words.
Here is what you get:
-A game that will last for a while, but only for PvE.
-Absolutely STUNNING graphics and visuals (I wish it was better optimised tho)
-Some cool bosses
-Some really cool bosses
-The creativity is on point with G.R.R. Martin.
