Wonderful metroidvania, with challenging combat and a nice stat system.
Most of the really challenging fights and areas are completely optional, or made a lot easier with careful charm builds (of which you can switch out builds with relative ease), so don't worry if you think you might struggle

You have masks (health), soul (mana, can be used to heal or eventually spells), and charms (equippables with unique effects).
Initially you won't be able to equip many charms, but by the endgame you will likely be able to have quite a few (some take more slots than others), all with quite varied effects. You can make some interesting synergies and builds, which are completely fluid, just rest at a bench to swap them out, you never really get locked into anything

It's one of few games in which I've actively ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lost of late, you can find and purchase basic maps, but you have to fill in the majority of the areas yourselves. It makes the exploration feels really fun.
The only failing of the map system I would say is that by the endgame I would've liked some way of finding hidden areas or other such things.. some are just incredibly well hidden and you might never find them short of opening up a map.
Dark souls deals with hidden walls quite well using the online message system.. I think in this maybe if you could buy a map pin that detects hidden tunnels once you've bought all the maps, that might be nice, but ehh, just an opinion

Combat will generally consist of hitting things with your nail(sword), which can be aimed in any of the 4 primary directions, and careful play will let you juggle, kite and bounce off enemies. It's simple, responsive controls that just feel fun to fight with.
The only flaw I've had with the combat is that some areas have been hitching a little, any lag whatsoever is going to cause problems when you're relying on precise movement and strikes.
The devs have been working on this in fairness, it's a lot smoother than when I first started playing about a week ago, so with any luck, they'll have ironed out any of these issues soon. They seem to be pretty active on the patches so far, which is a good sign.

It's an interesting game full of lore, interesting characters, usually with a somewhat resigned, melancholy atmosphere to them. Many of them are certainly likeable enough, and some you might well end up hating, they pretty much nailed the NPCs

Music wise, it was very good, but also subtle and atmospheric. Most of the time I don't find myself noticing the music, as it just perfectly meshes into the background of the game, but when I do pay attention to it, it seems nice

Am just hoping that they'll bring out some interesting DLC at this point, cause I most definitely want more

For a porn type game, has a really solid and funny story, would recommend giving it a go, am very much looking forward to the next season to see how things end up
