[Edit January 2024] This game is anti-consumerism at its finest. They had seasons which was made up of a battle pass. If you bought a battle pass in the past, you could regain your 1000credits merely by finishing your battle pass. But they took it away, now there will only be "Operations" which is the equivalent of an event in other online games. Of course you could buy a pass for this one. But you won't win your credits back. The campaign is great. Especially when when playing on a decent machine.

But the multiplayer! Oh boy!

It could be great. But it is flawed by design.

Halo multiplayer is the pinnacle of cyber harassment. More effort have been put in place in making sure you have bad time playing this game rather than making an actual good game.

There is a hidden hand behind all matches.
If you do too well, the next game you will play against a full team that will always know your position.

They (the ennemy team) will also always magically appear behind a corner or any other object that breaks the line of sight.

And if you are still too good. You will have players assigned to you.
Either on your team or playing against you.

Are you still standing up for yourself?
They will put you on a far away server, make you respawn right in the line of fire of a sniper, and of course you get no respawn protection.

If it is oddball, when you lose the oddball your team will be respawned as far away as possible. The other team will have respawned in less than two seconds.

Your random teammates are not experienced enough. Or they simply don't participate.
The game lets you start a ranked match with a player less than the other team, your winnings are reduced, etc...

If you play this game you will surely meet the "Xbox Harrasment team". Or, is it an entire departement?

I played Halo 5 on the xbox. Those are the same tactics that were applied back then.

They have deleted the ranked team slayer. Because it is harder for the Harassment team to "triangulate" on you.
When the main focus is not an objective, this means that you can solely concentrate on defeating the other team.

Halo Infinite could be great, but it is flawed ... by design.

Furthermore, have you ever heard of cheaters getting banned?? It does makes one think, doesn't it?
