Incredible game. The mortal empires campaign is simply epic and CA is providing both paid and free updates very regularly. The combination of the classic "Total War" formula with fantasy RPG elements makes this very addicting.

Like any budget horror game, take Emily Wants To Play for what it is. I will be honest, the first fifteen minutes or so are pretty scary. There is little in terms of guidance on what to expect, or how to play. This uncertainty contributes to an aura of discomfort that is pretty well done with the limited scope of the game. Unfortunately, this discomfort is conditional on a key assumption, namely the assumption that the player engages the game without help from a FAQ.

The "scare-factor" of the game significantly declines after a few attempts. Without knowledge of the game mechanics, the game can feel like a stochastic whirlwind of scares. Yet, this randomness quickly fades into a discernable pattern. Once the player recognizes this pattern of game play, the game becomes more akin to a first-person horror platformer puzzle game.

Recommended for its vision, but one must be realistic in terms of execution. I don't expect a $5 game to be the pinnacle of game design, so I think that it is inherently unfair to judge it as a more fully developed title.

TLDR: Good for what you are buying ($5). Do yourself a favor and don't spoil the game story/mechanics when attempting to play. A good game to play in the dark alone, or with friends and beer.

When my father built my first pc, Return to Castle Wolfenstein was the first game that I played on it. Not only was the single player game incredible, the multiplayer kept me and my friends busy until the wee hours of the morning. This game will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you Gray Matter and id, and thank you to my dad.

One of the best Role Playing Games in the history of the genre. Not for the faint or heart, but it is incredibly rewarding. Reminds me of an adult Ocarina of Time.
