I literally have 863 days of /playtime in this game. I first got it when it launched in the UK and I played it 12 hours a day every day for 4 years. I put the game down and got the blood moving round my body a bit then went back for second and third helpings.

This game has a very rough and annoying user interface because it was designed for the playstation 2 and never properly modified for the PC.

It is however the best game ever.

Except tonberries look silly in this game all warty and nasty and not uber cute like the ones in other final fantasy games.

I never had a problem really. And I was in some endgame shells but never ones so hardcore that they required people to camp things for massive amounts of time. It was "just" put in your 4 hours a day. Damn that sounds weird to write that. Different times.

Nah man, you gotta stay logged in all night in the aery in case your LS claims hogg, or in jeuno showing off your equipment, especially with the POL/login servers going down at least 7-8 times per year. If you're already logged in, you're fine. You definitely don't want to risk not being able to play every possible second of the day!

Almost none of my /playtime was afk, something like a total of 10 nights doing overnight bazaar and that's it.

Was just curious. Whenever I see another FFXI fanboy I see whether they were on the same server by chance.

Between 2003 and 2008 I probably had 20,000 hours ingame, and at least 15,000 of that was me actually playing.

Was a fantastic time, but I could never do it again, hahahahaha.

I was originally on Caitsith and after that I just went where the server megs took me. I haven't played for a while though.
