I just finished the game (big thanks for the recent patch 1.0.2.3) and this is what I have to say.

The bad things first:
- The ending came a bit sudden and left me a bit bewildered
- There is no sandbox / infinite mode (if you finish the campaign, that's it)
- There are minor bugs that can be fixed by saving and then reloading mostly
- If you mess up, it becomes immensely difficult to recover very quickly - in my case I just restarted the game after getting the basics in the middle of the campaign

Now the good part:
This game is absolutely amazing. Period. Besides a few minor bugs and balancing changes (the game released 2 weeks ago!) it is a polished master piece. The cutscenes are incredible and, along with the intriguing story, take you along for a ride. This is the space journey of your dreams, where you guide the dim ember of humanity through the stars. IXION is very challenging, but once you understand the mechanics it offers, it is quite manageable - and rewarding. I have to admit, the quick escalation of unmanaged issues is quite realistic, as any untamed chaos would immediately cause panic onboard a space station.

The artstyle of this game is very fitting for the theme and absolutely nails it. Together with the UI design and the mission artworks really bring this game to life while you discover humanity's future and try to keep its spark alive.

What really carried me through the 34 hours that I almost marathoned through this game was the unbelievably well crafted soundtrack. I can't even begin to describe how it felt to hear each track for the first time and then being carried away by them. Each one perfectly sets the mood and keeps you focused, immersed in IXION.

Easily one of my favorite games in recent years, and I'm already looking forward to updates and DLCs.
I need more campaign, more story, more to discover.
