Early Access Review
First few runs I was thinkin "oh this is kinda neat pretty fun" but the more I play it the more I love it. Enjoy every character enjoy finding new ways of playing each! Harder difficulties feels almost Quake fast and of course co-op just increases the fun per person joining you :3 !

So... where to begin.. I have always wanted a SDE game, so naturally when I saw this pop up I got super excited! I'm a huge fan of SDE and own well.. all of it -.- I have a problem.. even the kickstarter stuff.. anywho! This game just feels.. rushed. Basically put, rushed. The graphics are horrible.. completely ugly models and skins. The music and sounds are awful to... and the controls are terrible to. Storyline wise is pretty bland as well.. I expected super dungeon explore to be super dungeon explore but it almost feels like a fan-made game. They could have easily made super dungeon explore instead but I understand them wanting to make plot and adding more to the lore of the game BUT come on now..

Bottom line I am really disappointed, sadly I got this game with the Iron Golem mini-boss so I can't even return it. I can't recommend this at all. There are far better turned based strategy games. If the models, sounds or gameplay at least stood out I think I could forgive most of it.. but it just feels like some sort of tablet game made by a few people.

So the early access was poop which happens but I was turned off for a long time until my cousin asked me to play with him. Well with all the added features and playing with friends made the game alot of fun :D its def short and I think the original price is crazy too high for a 2hour game BUT it's worth a sale price of $10-15 :D

Once you get the mechanics down you will have a blast!

Pros
-It's RWBY
-Characters all feel different
-Levels are account bound not playthrough bound
-Team attacks are alot of fun

Cons
-Alot of empty feeling landscape
-Short...
-Repetitive [this can be confusing, yes this sort of game always feels repetitive just like a musou game BUT when you are defending or defeating 4 waves over and over again that's what makes it feel repetitive, it becomes super predictable]

Afterthought

-I think the Relics should give XP to the entire team, otherwise you may have someone just running around finding the shinies instead of helping out

-Also a survival mode would be really really fun!

When I first heard about this game I was very skeptical but my god am I glad I gave Skullgirls a shot! This is one of my favorite fighting games of all times! If you like actual fighting games then pick up this title! It's so awesome, with the team options there is so much diversity! Each character is so different to and when I saw that I mean VERY different, not the classic street fighter style of you have a different punch but you're basically Ryu. Every character is balanced to, sure there are always exploits like all fighting games but against a decent enough player cheesing won't work. My favorite thing about the game, aside from the handdrawn art and the company itself, is that if you don't want a 'team' you don't have to. You get to choose between 1-3 characters, the less characters the more HP they have. The story mode is nice as well, especially with the DLC characters in it. It's very fluent and writing is pretty good, unlike this review.. writing isn't my strongest suit. With the announcement of 2nd Encore I even recommend this game even more, because us steam folk will be getting that as well: with more story, more gameplay modes, and I think more characters!

So yes buy this, the only fighter I ever liked more than Skullgirls has been the Guilty Gear series and that alone should be enough of a reason to buy it :P

Early Access Review
Ok first off, yes I haven't put many hours into this game. But, I have owned the original card game since their first kickstarter! Boss Monster is so freaking fun! It's my favorite card game of all time! The best part about the video game is that you can play with people online, which makes it alot easier if you can't set up a local physical card game :P

Another thing I really like is that it walks you through the game, rules can't be forgoten or misused :P Heck I found out I was doing something wrong these past few years xD

If you like FAIR balanced card games or just looking for something different, get Boss Monsters.

Hell get the steam game as a "demo" to see if you wanna get the for real game :P

so.. very disappointed in this game. I had high hopes for this game, the plot sounded cool and the art style was neat. Sadly, that all fades away in the usual generic gameplay that Spider is notorious for... If you are not familar MOST of their games have a very bland clunky slow combat system.. Think the first Witcher game but worse. Another thing that always confuses me in their games especially this one.. Using modern day sayings and off handed curses in a fantasy setting just seems... odd to me. The writing is meh and the combat is blah, I bought this game part of a RPG Bundle and I'm very sad to say that everything in that bundle was pretty bland and I regret spending any money on any of their games. I'd stay away.

I didn't expect MUCH from this game but I was plesantly surprised on how great this game is! It can most def be frustrating as hell but it's a blast through and through (unless you die 1st move)

Def an underated FF game, but I understand why people don't like it. The draw system is so aweful it adds hours to the grind... BUT THATS WHY YOU GET IT ON STEAM!!!! Get sick of the draw system? Well use the magic boost and get 99 of each magic :P problem solved.. or was it 999? eh anywho, the combat is more or less pretty standard FF but the limit breaks have changed since 7. I don't really much care for 8's system though.. instead of just getting pow wacked enough they changed it to "yellow hp" then you just get it. Each limit break has its own gimmick to and nothing is more frustrating then finally pulling off a limit only to miss the triggers.. Also you can 'boost' your guardian forces to do extra damage but in a game as grindy as this one.. it adds alot of extra work as lazy as that sounds. As far as story goes its pretty awesome! Characters are pretty sweet to! Aside from the usual bland main character and in this one equally as meh love interest and rival... But the support cast is alot of fun! My favorite thing about FF8 (aside from the card game :P) is the theory behind it.. which I won't spoil anything here but just google FF8 squall theory :P you'll see
