4. AAA studios are making games that nobody is buying, and it is easy to miss the gems in the raging sewer of content. The pendulum is simply swinging back after years of obsessing over monetization. Gaming, like any worthwhile endeavor like film, fine art, poetry, science, or democracy is alive and its evolving and its 99 percent bull crap. That's okay because that 1 percent is literally the best stuff humanity has ever done. It is absolutely worth the attrition. Focus on the games that challenge or elevate the medium and don't give other games any energy at all even to complain about. It will be awful for a while but you will be happier.
