ArmA III is the best infantry/combined arms simulator game on the market. While games such as Squad and Insurgency allow for a quick jump in jump out, play a few multiplayer games here and there kind of attitude, ArmA III is a sandbox environment where anything and everything can be created. Many of my hours were spent on Life Roleplay servers, taking part in various gangs, police work, and everything in between.

However, what ArmA is truly created for is Milsim. ArmA is best played with an organized group on a private server. The Zues and Eden Editor systems allow for endless creations to be made by anyone with the desire. This means if you want to go fight in the middle east you can, or you can chose to go to the jungles of Vietnam, or even take on the galaxy with Star Wars mods and divisions.

ArmA III is also one of the most frustrating games I have ever played. One day it will be working fine, and you will wake up the next morning and can't join any servers. It's like an old car, you have to take care of it and treat it well and it will return the love. The best way to explain it is that it has a mind of its own. However, if you think about all the countless calculations ArmA is running at any time to provide the hyper realistic, open world, combat simulator, it really is impressive what has been achieved.
