An absolute gem of an experience. This game is the marriage between the principles that drove Morrowind and modern video game design. Being able to drive the growth of the main character into a worthy knight from a low citizen was one of the best experiences I've had. I felt like I really made Henry and the story was driven by me and not the illusion of progress. I trained with Bernard for about 5 hours total, failed the tournament and hunted bandits and slowly I became Henry the Executioner.

You will be googling 15th century Bohemian history while you play this. I guarantee it.

Only downside of this game for me was having to be a monk and find the target to join the bandits.

This is a visual novel, not an expansion.
The rest of the game is still the same good FFXIV, but I miss the interactivity of the questing style and narrative of the previous expansions. This was a very very long visual novel with low quality quest design.

It's a From Software DLC. You know what the difficulty is going to be like. It's hard, but its amazing. Adapt!

Servers are good now. It's a 100 person team who did better than Diablo 4 did by a 'small indie team'.

We spent 30 hours on the first round of combat. I played as a Mage which was pretty satisfying. I think it is worth the entry price for what's available but I think some focus on Quality of Life improvements would improve the experience. Nevertheless my group and I bought a server and played mostly all together and had a good time. It's a fantasy game first and a survival game second. If you start with that, you'll enjoy it.
