In the age of bug-ridden, rushed release games, with sole purpose to monetize everything possible...

..,comes Baldur's Gate 3! While the gameplay might not be for everyone, one should appreciate that the game delivers staggering amount of content and freedom without being monetized at all. The launch felt rushed as we can see by the sheer amount of bugs present on release and the ending being not so detailed and thorough as the rest of the game. There is no excuse for that, but the game at least offsets that with amazing immersive experience that most games in the "rushed bug fiesta" category do not.

You only started? Nah man, the game begins at level 50!
You are level 50? Nah, tier 1 is not it just yet!
You are tier 2? Nah, tier 3 is where the game begins!
You are tier 3? Nah, the real game begins when you reach the Legion Raids!
You have the item level to enter Legions Raids? Nah, you won't do! All you need to get accepted into a party are 5x3 engravings, perfect gems, perfect card sets, 6+ alts and roster level 1000+ just so we know that you are an absolute nolifer just like us!

Come on! It's only gonna take you a little over 1k hours of playtime for the game to "begin"! Easy!

The game has all the foundations to be such a great game, but the insane amount of gatekeeping systems, RNG and the most copium inhaling fragile ego community known to man are sadly ruining the potential. I do play the game casually for fun, but these are my honest thoughts.

Also, if you are short on steam points for the shop stuff, just drop by the game forums over here on steam, speak some criticism about the game and get awarded handsomely by the white knights.

Absolute masterpiece coming from Miyazaki, George R. R. Martin, and the team at FromSoft. Their legendary souls formula has been taken to a whole another level with this one.

Despite not being a main game in the series, it follows up the original Persona 5, as the previous spin-offs followed the predecessors.

The start is pretty slow, it takes a while before the story picks up, personally I would prefer the classic turn-based combat style, as the hack-and-slash that is present in this game can be quite chaotic, but to each their own. Even if you are not fan of the combat you can simply reduce the difficulty and stay for the story. The story picks up at about the start of the 4th jail, at that point you'll either start loving it or not.

Overall, if you liked Persona 5, this follow up story is note-worthy, and it brings you together with your favourite characters once again, so enjoy your one last ride!

At first I was looking for an open world RPG to play, then I've been suggested to play Tales of Arise, and despite not really meeting the idea of what I was looking for, I'm glad I gave it a go.

It's the first "Tales of" game I have ever played, being new to the series I did not know what to expect, but from the very first moments of my playthrough I was already immersed. The story pacing is decent and the more you progress the game the greater it becomes, up to the very end. All the characters are likeable and through their interactions they truly feel like a band instead of just a bunch of random characters bundled together. Narrative is very heavy and there is rarely a moment you spend not reading/watching/fighting, it really makes for a cozy experience and almost at any point it does not feel empty or dead.

Truly a journey I would recommend to everyone looking for a story based game to experience.

I had a rule for scoring visual novels, it would get a 10 out of 10 if it brought me even slightly close to having teary eyes. It was a pretty reliable system, until I read this one that is...might have to revisit the scoring rule...

...200 out of 10.

Overall gameplay has been greatly improved all over the place compared to 2, but the characters and the story of the second game are more memorable. 3 has some good new characters, but the very end of the story feels a bit rushed.

Anyway, if you like the series for the gameplay, it's at its best here, so go for it.

When you hear "souls-like game", this is as close as you can get to it, except the ominous atmosphere and lore scattered across the land is being told in a series of cutscenes and "memories" which will offer you insight into the given character's past.

Anime fan or not, you can ignore the lore and come for the challenge that awaits, if you decide not to bring a companion that is.

If you are into the anime kind of storytelling, I would dedicate the first playthrough entirely to the story before seeking challenge.

A Good combination of a crafting game and RPG elements, you can use your creativity for both building fancy structures and tackling bosses using arenas that you can build the way you want to give yourself maximum advantage. But most importantly, dig, fight, explore, build!
