Disgusted with Changes to Lethal Mode and constant inclusion steps to lower difficulty.

Preface: Most of the changes were frankly MORONIC by Saber they should never have touched anything below Ruthless. However this is just about Lethal.

As a longtime fan of the Warhammer 40K universe and a dedicated player of Space Marine, I had high expectations for Space Marines 2, especially when it came to the challenge of the Lethal difficulty. This mode was marketed as the ultimate test of skill—a gauntlet for hardcore players like myself, designed to push us to our limits. So, you can imagine my utter disappointment and disgust when Lethal mode was watered down under the guise of "inclusionary" changes.

The recent updates to the game, which soften the punishing mechanics of the Lethal mode, feel like a slap in the face. Instead of preserving the high-stakes challenge for the veterans who crave it, the developers have decided to make concessions to casual players, effectively dumbing down a mode that was supposed to be elite. Let me be clear—I'm all for making games more accessible through lower difficulty settings, but Lethal was never supposed to cater to everyone. It's supposed to be brutal, punishing, and rewarding to those who can conquer it.

But with these changes, the peak challenge has lost its edge. I expected to experience ruthless enemies, near-impossible odds, and the need for precision at every moment. Instead, it now feels like the difficulty has been neutered for the sake of appeasing players who should have stuck to lower difficulty settings. Lethal mode was meant to be exclusive to those of us who wanted to earn our victories through sweat and strategy. Reducing that to cater to the lowest common denominator strips away the core purpose of this difficulty.



I'll give an example Vanguard was considered heavily affected but is actually the ONLY class that wasn't affected by cohesion.
