I wanna be in this world more than Forza Horizon 4 or 5's, learn something from that Playground Games!

where to even start?

pros:

- The graphics, they are not so realistic in colors compared to Horizon or some other games, but damn they are beautiful. Many times I stopped just to take a screenshot, love how the mood changes entirely with the weather and the time.

- Handling. It got better since Crew 1, but it's not perfect it still feels like the cars are a bit "floaty" sometimes, but it's much better than Crew 1's floatiness and you have to adjust the deadzone to 0 to be able to turn immediately, since it's set to 20 or something by default, weird how they do that. Some cars tend to understeer then oversteer when you try to turn in, some may call it realism but I find annoying in an arcade-ish game, but it's not so bad.

- The presentation. They've done a pretty good job of making the game feel alive and like you can do everything in it. There's variety everywhere, it's really inviting and done quite well.

- Sound design. The cars sound much much more crisp and full than Horizon 4 for example, you can clearly hear the turbo working and everything. Love the neat detail where the sound changes when you're in the cockpit you can hear some things even more than before.

cons:

- Sensory overload. As many Horizon clones still do it these days Crew can't stray from it either... Clutter, clutter, clutter... there's so much on your screen in the menus and even in the freeroam you're constantly getting bombarded by event suggestions. I hate that personally, let the people find stuff themselves or make the progression little by little not everything thrown at you all at once.

- Acting and characters. Feels like the characters are actors themselves, nothing what they say feels genuine or not over the top or like they actually care and know what they're doing in this culture; throwing cringy lines at you that are just there for the quirkiness and never shutting the hell up ruins the game for me too. Almost none of the characters in the customization look cool or something I'd wanna be, makes me wanna cover them up with a helmet and a racing suit.

- Music. Maybe I am biased, but almost nothing in the radio hyped me up or motivated me in any way and this is the problem with many today's racing games, because not actual musicians are making these playlists, but the devs who don't know what to pick to suit the racing game vibe. The only station I found enjoyable to listen to was the one where they play old hits.

- Crashing. In the beginning the game didn't crash at all but suddenly 10 hours in it started crashing quite frequently and it's annoying and I know it's not my PC's problem, but the optimization.

- TAA or crappy anti-aliasing. Why use TAA which is an already blurry technique of covering up the game's rough edges when we can use TAA + FXAA to make it even more blurry? Seriously the fact you can't even turn it off entirely is quite a turn off for such a pretty game. For someone who already has myopia I don't need to be reminded of it when trying to enjoy a game.

But overall it's a pretty good game with many steps in the right direction and I heard they're gonna make an offline mode which is nice knowing what happened with Crew 1. This game is not terrible by any means, just get it on a sale.

Hey Vladas Drakula! I am stoked to hear that you're enjoying the game but I'd really like to see if I can help with the crashes that you mentioned. I have several troubleshooting steps that are fairly simple and I'd like to see if they have any effect on what you're encountering. To rule out as much as possible, there are also a few workarounds we can test. Please take the time to perform them now but note if a single method stops the issue you're seeing then you won't need to carry out the rest:

- Ensure that The Crew Motorfest is installed on the same SSD as both Steam and Ubisoft Connect
- Verify the game files[ubi.li]
- Clean boot[www.ubisoft.com]to rule out background processes that could be conflicting (Overwolf, Steel Series, Corsair, iCue3, Razer, Synapse, etc.)
- Unplug non-essential peripherals (controllers, additional monitors, streaming equipment, VR equipment, steering wheels and pedals, etc.)
- Clear the Steam cache[ubi.li]and the Ubisoft Connect cache[ubi.li]
- All of the steps in this FAQ article[ubi.li]
- Perform a SFC Scan[support.microsoft.com]on your system (if the scan detects errors, you may want to repeat this step multiple times until the results are clear)
- Clean reinstall the C++ Redistributables[docs.microsoft.com]
- Some Nvidia players have seen an improvement after rolling back their driver version[www.nvidia.com]
- AMD users can find their driver versions[www.amd.com] on the official website

If this happens again after those are done, please follow up and let our teams know by submitting a new support case on the Ubisoft website[ubi.li]and be sure to list all of the troubleshooting that we completed to save time. Our technical support team can also review your MSinfo and DxDiag files[ubi.li]once they are attached to your case (which you can do in advance). After your case has been received, a specialist will be able to contact you directly to proceed further. Thank you!
