Nice art sytyle, but the the game gets boring realy fast with only 1 out of 5 secondary weapons that replace your previous alternative weapon on pickup and 1 fixed primary weapon per ship both of which can be temporary upgraded until you die. The radar only shows you where the pickups and boss enemies are, but you have to take a trip halfway around the map to get there when you navigate through the cave system. Without any dialog, collectibles("diary pages" or relicts with a flavorful description ) or cutscenes, it just doesn't feel like you are advancing in the story.

Deckbuilding game with awesome graphics. The 3 chars have a relatively distinct playstile and each char has at least 2 primary themes that they can focus on: The paladin can either try to accumulate Faith points for passive healing or give in to her dark side and turn into a vampire which offers more offensive cards and your attacks drain life.
The balancing and wording is still a bit off, but it's fully enjoyable, stable and without any too obvious bugs.

A graphicly minimalistic game with deep challanging gameplay, cool unlocks and wide selection of characters that all play different.

Is it weird to recommend a game that you don't enjoy yourself? I love the art style and animations, but the amount of time sensitive puzzles at the beginning(?) just was a huge turn off for me. If that is no problem for you go pick up this lovely adventure!

Fun little JRPG in a futuristic setting with some entertaining features like the ship to ship combat, skills tied to your weapon, different solutions for some of the quests and more. In case you are worried when you see some anthropomorphic girls in a JRPG from a dev that sounds Asion, that this is another one of "those games", I can put your mind at ease: This is family friendly game made by a Canadian company. Highly recommended, even at full price.

Innovative deck building game that utilizes some unique mechanics and effects.
For example:
-since your deck size is effectively your HP, there is a shop that lets you purchase cards through permanently exiling other cards from your deck
-cards that add negative cards to your deck when you play them aren't necessarily bad, since these "curses" absorb damage and there are even effects that benefit from them
-Do you use the damage of Death to kill the enemies in the current encounter, or do you get them on your side and team up against the Grim Reaper himself?

The art style, interesting events that spice up the gameplay and an active development team that keeps adding more features and listens to suggestions from the community combined with a very cheap prizes makes Blood Card a game that every fan of the genre should pick up.

I hope that there is going to be some improvement in the upcoming episodes, since otherwise this attempt to make a FF VII style game is a huge letdown: There is just nothing that stands out about this game: the generic protagonist and story, relatively empty maps, a very basic combat system*, no skill/ attribute points to distribute and managing your gear is irelevant, since you need the little cash you have for healing items. I have no idea why you have to waste time searching for some children on multiple occasions, when the entire game is only 2h long (probably less than one hour if you don't repeat the battles).

*About the combat: Other than your basic attack, you have a rage attack that is charged by taking dmg and activated automaticly and a basic magic attack spell from equipable orbs. Your mana pool only allows you to use 2-4 attacks and there is no way to regenerate MP other than resting in the towns and the rare potions.

The game is too linear and short. In fact the 5 screenshots on the store page almost show the entire game world. Unlike most other RPG-Maker games, there are close to no NPCs other than the ones that you need to complete the story. This would have made the game a bit more vivid.

Great game with a stunning soundtrack. I realy dig the game's subtile humor and casual gameplay, that makes the TGG a fun and relaxing experience. The lighting sometimes feels a bit off in the dark areas or the visibility of the white UI font in bright areas, but considering that this is only their first game, Sam did an astonishing job.

+ Time travel setting
+ Humor (especially the part where the slips up of the journalist are being disguised by the other char from the future by calling him "simple" )
+ 2 seperate parties let you get to know 10 different chars
+ when the parties unite again, those not in your active party still gain XP, in case you change your mind
+ you don't need to finish every single sidequest / find all the secrets for the achievements
- the part where you get to play with a custom party is very short
- close to no equipment
- much hand holding
- balancing of the skills
- too easy (even on legendary)

verdict: buy on sale
