Felt bad for the technologically advanced praying mantis civilization

With a controller, this game is literally unplayable, you have 0 control over the steering of your car, it is literally impossible to make a curve without having to stop your car completely, absolute garbage.

This is a 40 year old game and it still holds up.
A prime example of how graphics have nothing (or almost nothing) to do with fun and addictive gameplay.
The game has enough depth to keep you entertained for hours and it also comes with a manual to give you that old school feel of having to check the game's manual if you get stuck somewhere.
Its also very interesting to see the ways in which this game inspired and spawned hundreds of roguelikes, all the elements you see here are present in those other hundreds of games.

All in all its just a very fun, interesting and engaging game that I personally believe every roguelike fan should experience at least once.

pros:
-exploring, crafting and building is tons of fun
-the quests and npcs are really good and the story too, very engaging
-ambience and music are really immersive
-combat is great

cons:
-game runs poorly even at minimum settings (I have a GTX960 and an i5 6600k)
-a few bugs that break immersion at times
-weight system is too severe, constant inventory management
-atom shop

This is the first time I play this game, I haven't played it before the wastelanders update.
If the game launched like this I would buy it at a discount, its a good game but definitely not worth 40 euros

The game's visuals are fine, the concept is nice and I'm sure it would be a great multiplayer game. Too bad the game is dead from the start, the multiplayer is useless, nobody is playing. Plus the campaign is one of the worst campaigns I've ever seen in any videogame... The AI is ridiculously hard even at Normal and the story is just some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that was written in probably 10 minutes. It's not compelling at all. I would not recommend this game to anyone, it's a big waste of money, however if you get it for free, try it out. Maybe if the devs had a good marketing plan, there would be some players online, and that's how I see this game, an online game.

In my first competitive match there were 3 russians doing a triple boost on the base.
They all died.
