Every once in a while, a game comes along that makes me pity anyone who hasn't played it. Life Is Strange is one such game. It's damn close to perfect, and it sits firmly in the pantheon of necessary video game experiences. Please play it.

Charming 2D/2D/2D/2D puzzle platformer.

A magic, talking sword and a flying squirrel/fox thing accompany our hero as he hacks, slashes and zaps all of the things.

Andy Serkis beats up robots with a stick in possibly the prettiest post-apocalypse ever. Seriously, even the junkyard looks nice.

A great first game from a brand new developer. It has some flaws, but is still a lot of fun. Pity there might never be a sequel.

It charms and delights with its visuals and music, while providing challenging platforming fun.

Difficult to describe, but a hell of a lot of fun. It's got elements of roguelike dungeon crawlers, base defence, RPGs, strategy games and more. It's one of those "easy to pick up, difficult to master" type games. The visual style is lovely, and the music is pretty great, too. Even the characters have interesting backstories and interactions.

Criminally underlooked.

Don't go into this game expecting a survival horror, because it's not. It's not meant to be. It's more of a third-person action game with horror elements, presented in the style of a thriller television show.
