Very much a love letter to touhou and diablo.

Modding minigame is top tier.

Dlc/Mtx cash shop is absolute cancer. Do not interact with it.

Outside of that game is great.

Severely underbaked and incomplete and simulation is non existent. Looks somewhat nice, so there is that. Wait to see if they fix it, and for the love of god DO NOT buy any dlc's until they fix the game. Dont reward paradoxes/co's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ practices.

Its like ark, but actually works and heaps more fun.

Oblivion/Skyrim in space. Its everything I wanted, Todd release the modkit!

At the current price point, performance, stability and features this is an easy miss. Potentially check it out in a year time, maybe there will be a game here.

Dawntrail update:
Crappy expansion, do not recommend. Player is sidelined, old scions dont act like they used to, and we are stuck babysitting badly written teenager mary sue.

480 hours and I have just started Stormblood. There are two more expansions awaiting already, this is some fine MMO experience.

Jokes aside, I didnt like it that much for about first 30 levels of the main quest. After that though, I have changed my class and at the same time story started picking up. It has been a wild ride since and Im enjoying it a lot.

Visually style carries overall experience, however there are some clear limitations as the game initially was released for PS3, so dont expect anything earth-shattering there.

Mechanically its a fairly standard tab target mmo, cooldowns are very annoying early on and combat is not very engaging. In my experience, just like overall pace of the game and story, after level 30 things improve, you have more skills to choose from and dungeons start to introduce mechanics that you need to pay attention to.

Good ♥♥♥♥ if you like Korean MMO's. Combat system is fluid and fun, all classes are fun depending on your playstyle preferences.

Late game gear progression sits behind heavy grind and rng (like every Korean MMO) so dont bohter if that grinds your gears.

The most negative aspect of it is amazon as a publisher, Kakao would of been a better option. amazon are incompetent hacks whos only priority is to censor anything they dont like.
