Do not buy expecting Tarkov. This is a completely different game.
Do not buy because you expect it to always work and not run into issues. I absolutely agree with most of the early test streamers that this game released into EA too soon, but regardless, it's here now.

Despite that, I read up on the current issues, have a rig that can run it right now, and was prepared for something really early and wanted to experience it. I want to help fund future development and fixes, and it looks like the devs are working their asses off to get hotfixes out. There are frustrations, but I'm still having fun.

Given that, I would recommend it if: You want something unique but still like an extraction shooter, you are ready for issues and spotty performance, and you want to help the project succeed while testing it. Like with any early access game and early Alpha build, do not expect a full game, and be willing to be disappointed if the game doesn't become what you hope for. WATCH A STREAM OR UNEDITED VIDEO.
If you go in with these expectations, I recommend it. I enjoy the weapon handling and medical system, and the open world and player interactions are something rarely seen, if ever, in a tactical shooter like this. I hope this game goes far.

Best game ever to let you throw seething insults at a ghost with your friends, before being promptly hunted down and killed while you all collectively wet your pants.

Woooooaaahh. Sat down for a few first rounds, and I came out playing more than 4 hours in one sitting with some friends.

I'll start of with the shortest bit first: the parts I don't like. Really, all I can say is sometimes there are some little bugs, but nothing bad. Also, sometimes enemies on the hardest difficulties take a bit too long to kill, but that's just my disliking of bullet sponges in most games. Other than that...

This game is absolutely recommended. Everything from the smooth and addictive item-stacking, number-stacking, buff-stacking monster blasting, down to the jammin' music and convincing glimpse into the game world in the item logs...

For anyone with friends—heck, for anyone, friends or not—this game is fantastic to play.
If you're a fan of rogue-likes, co-op survival or third person action, I'd upgrade that "fantastic" to a "must-have".
(Get it before the free copy deal ends, it's a steal!)

The "Battle Royale" game we needed, but not what we deserved.

Despite the bugs, which are acceptable when first released in a small-scale free game anyways, I love it.

Awesome game so far! The bugs and crashes are a few of my only problems, but the game is still super enjoyable, especially for the very low price.

I would LOVE to see:
Co-op. (If possible, with how the game works.)
More levels. (Maybe even some with unique enemies, like to fit with a level theme. For example, zombies/mutants/raiders on an apocalyptic level.)
Steam Workshop support.
