You can't call yourself a gamerr until you've played through a Half Life game at least once. Since we're not likely to see a Glaf Life 3 anytime soon this is your best bet. At this point it's a cult classic with dated graphics but it's a good introduction to the FPS/RPG genre.

A perfect makeover of the original except for the whole EA Autolog online BS. Graphics are good, car control is predictable and the maps are gorgeous. The only thing that brings this game down is the autolog.

It's not Forza or even Grid for that matter. It's more of an arcade driving experience with a hint of simulation thrown in just to make it exciting. This was the game that made Atari's Test Drive Unlimited look so awful.

Playing online or with friends is made somewhat cumbersome with the Autolog interface but it's far easier than Grid 2's Racenet so there's some redemption there.

Don't buy this game to stat boost your rank on some leaderboard. Rather buy it because you remember Need for speed 3 ( the original version of this game) and wanted an updated and more visually experience with a wider array of tracks.

If you liiked Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion you'll like this plus you get the addition of dragons! Great looking game but a bit of a grnd and you'll likely find yourself looking for the cheat codes after a few days of hacking through the same 20 feet of map. It's becoming a cult classic and frequently in the top 5 most active games on Steam. Just remember, it's a Bethesda game so expect a lot of dialog trees, walking (like a Hobbit), and puzzles along the way.

---Update 2019---: So since this game dropped there's been a few changes but nothing that substantive. They released an updated texture packs, DLC and VR versions as well. They launched Elder Scrolls online because the game never did get a co-op or multiplayer option which it was literally crying out for (and so were the players) No, instead you got Elder Scrolls online which is like all the worst of Skyrim with all the BS of an MMO and now Mircrostransactions! Yay! ....Not...

This was the base game and while graphically stellar for its time the emphasis on the grind and crafting got old fast.

I won't change my recommendation but I will say it's not a casual game. It's one of those "lifestyle" titles that you have to invest a lot of time in before you get anything out of it. After 40 hours with it it just didn't do it for me even with a decent narrative.

Everything a COD game set in the modern age should be. Interesting SP story, great mission based Co-op and good graphics for its time. Worth your time and your dime.

It's an FPS built around co-op. The backstory is detailed and interesting and teamwork is often critical to success.

This game is about co-op. Other game modes exist but the real fun is reaching objectives with a buddy along. One thing you shpould remember is that every COD game since has based it's gameplay on this game especially co-op (when there is any.)

That means your best introduction to modern COD games is with Modern Warfare 2.

If you really feel the need to have a MP experience in Half Life 2 this is your game. It looks as good as HL2 and the maps are interesting.

WTF?! the game makes no sense, has graphics from 2003 and constantly crashes. Avoid...

What a letdown, I picked this up because BugBear did it and I expected a Flatout 2 like experience. What I got was a confusing interface, controls locked into Xbox controllers ( I play on PC with a joystick.) I wanted to like this game but there were too many obstacles to let that happen. Waste of money.

This game would have been better with decent controls and less sloppy programming. It kept me from getting very far

Broken, pointless and confusing. Don't bother with it unless it's FREE and you've got time to waste.

Yawn.... Another WoW-esque Free to Play clone. Looks good, graphcs on par with Dungeon Siege or Torchlight 2 but it's a MMO so don't expect much in the way of a story.
