I've finished my first run and I'm already playing it again. The costumes and bonus items you can get through DLC and finishing the game give lots of incentive.

Somehow Capcom took one of the most influential games of all time and remade it into what is going to be a strong contender for the Game of the Year title of 2023.

The entire experience has been streamlined into a way more slicker one. Parts that never quite worked in the orginal are gone completely or changed in siginificant ways. The game only kept the really good parts, so there's lots to look forward to regardless. A lot less QTE BS as well.
Story-wise it's basically the exact same premise as before, though many characters have been reworked into more fleshed-out versions of themselves. Granted, it doesn't work for everyone, but most of them come out of the remake as way more memorable.

Mercenaries Mode has just been added, which is appreciated, but I'm especially looking forward to the paid addition, a remade version of Ada Wong's campaign Separate Ways.

A must play!
