As I lay awake at night and stare at my ceiling, fleeting visions of past events flash through my mind. People come and go but they all leave when they see the absence of life in my eyes, it makes them uncomfortable. I'm alone now, just me and the eyes that peer at me from the darkest corners of the room. Why, I wonder, did I have to open that chat box? That little string of text on my screen, seducing me into replying. Oh how naive I was. I thought that my years in the internet had hardened me, prepared me for anything the digital space had to offer, but that all changed when you sent that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ message. When I clicked it I watched in horror as my monitor was filled with the text you had sent me. I could not recoil in time, and my eyes were assaulted by the tasteless, classless, humorless, abhorrent excuse for a message that you sent me. I will never be the same, and it's all thanks to you and your hellish sense of humor.
