Veilguard is everything I had hoped it would be. It may not be the perfect game, but the only real critique i have had is some minor story stuff. The combat and movement is super fun to play, and very active. The combat isnt like traditional DA, it's closer to DAI but much smoother and better suited to modern playstyles than the awkward halfsies DAI was doing. Imo the story was great, I loved all the companions and it was probably my toughest ever decision of who to romance on my first run.

I was afraid about the Solas centric storytelling, because the only thing I wanted to ever do by the end of DAI was punch or kill Solas, but I'm really satisfied with his position in the story. It's a good game.

Very fun little game! The replay value seems pretty low, since the calls are not randomized (so you get the same calls every time you play, in the same order). But it was oddly satisfying piecing the clues together and trying to figure out what is bothering the caller. I didn't get them all right, but I got enough to get promoted hahahaha. It's inspired by horror, but the game is not very scary overall, and parts of it made me laugh honestly. This is not a bad thing, just setting expectations! The art is very good and if you get through it I highly advise leafing through the unlockable art book in the game.

i'm a big fan of fishing minigames in video games, and this is all fishing minigames. The artstyle and atmosphere is immaculate, the fishing is varied enough to make it feel not like a drudgery. My complaints are minor preferences, so I won't bother detailing them. Great indie game.

Here's the thing. I love Sea of Thieves. I'm a new player into it, and when i first started playing it I immediately sunk a week's worth of free time into it. Aesthetically and mechanically, it is a fun game. The graphics are beautiful, and it's so much fun to grab a treasure map and sail around solving little puzzles and fighting skeletons.

But the community. THE COMMUNITY. Makes this almost impossible to enjoy. Being a single player is constant anxiety as you're under constant threat of someone coming up on you and straight bullying you. Having 2-4 friends is much easier, as it's easier to defend yourself if someone steers and someone else fires, or something like that, but even that can be stressful.

This game NEEDS something like a private lobby system or a passive mode a la GTA V, or at least a safe zone around outpost islands. Even with the new season feature, this game will die in a toxic pit of tartarus without some way to keep non-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ players interested. And don't come at me like "uh Astra, this is a game about PIRATES and pirates KILL EACH OTHER". I know. But if the pirates on the outposts can work together, then why can't I just sail around singing yo ho having fun? It's a freaking video game! A game like this one, in this genre, shouldn't cause as much stress as it does (and if you don't feel stress... well. You're probably one of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.)

But Sea of Thieves will never have private lobbies, or passive modes. Because the toxicity of the community and playerbase fuels them or something. I guess.

If you want the game, it's fun. But i wouldn't buy it full price. I got it for half off -- I wouldn't spend more than $20 on it.

Needs MAJOR BUG FIXING. It crashes so much, oftentimes right on the start screen. I am not the only one who experiences this problem, and until it is fixed, i do not recommend this game. I managed to play level one before it crashed one time, and I can confirm that it is a VERY pretty game, BUT IT IS UNPLAYABLE AT THIS MOMENT.
