GOTY.

MW 2019 released with an all new game engine and brought the painfully outdated franchise into the modern age.
Then in typical fashion, the company's manglement started to bleed all the fun out of the game.

Here we are 4 years down the road and to no one's surprise more bad decisions are being made.
Unfortunately I am complicit in this downward spiral as I have bought this game.

Hopefully you won't make the same mistake I did.

Everything is actually great.
There's just one massive problem.
This game causes EXTREME nausea.

If you have ever gotten motion sickness from video games before, this will trigger it after 30 minutes. Changing all the available settings as suggested by the forums does not help at all.

The developers know that this is a prevalent issue and they simply do not care.

Why have you not tried cracktorio?

Terrible main story line that sours the entire experience.
Technically impressive in every aspect except the 4 player limit and lack of gun modding.

Shift accounts/servers causing connection issues is still NOT FIXED.

9 months after an extremely buggy release the game is still running no better, ignoring the frame drops and stutters, you can barely push out 50 fps on high settings with a 1070. Everything from the guns to character movement is extremely sluggish, making for an abhorrent first person shooter experience.

Every single thing you see on screen in game is a smeared mess because of some genius game engine settings. Texture streaming with massive delays means you see bare body objects with no textures on them for at least 30 seconds before the right texture loads in.

Normally, these things can be ignored if the game is fun to play. However, the developers have convinced themselves that a higher time-to-kill (TTK) is the right choice for a game that was popular because of its low TTK. A 7.62mm round to the chest is no longer a death sentence. Yes. Let that one sink in. Then couple that with the disastrous hit boxes and hit registration, and you have a formula for failure.

I can only recommend pirating this game to witness first-hand the downfall of the company which brought you the first insurgency. Absolutely disappointing.

People say it plays a bit like an open world DOOM, they're wrong.
This is nothing but a pathetic attempt where you have to suffer through terrible controls, nagivation, and UI.

Avoid like the plague.

Buy it. You need it.

As an avid csgo player, I can assure you that this is worth it.
If you are good at csgo, you will destroy them after getting used to the playstyle.
