For a free, 5-minute game, I had a good time with this. The art style is very nice and the whole experience was very relaxing.

My thoughts on the ending:
I thought the lightbulb death was funny. What really got me was the text entry prompt after the screen fades to white. I wonder if the devs collect those entries as sort of a "what did you think?" thing. If you're interested, I typed in "Worth It."

As minimal as this game is, I think it looks and plays great. The environments, while simplistic, are memorable. The puzzles are decently challenging, though I would have liked to see some more intricate interactions with a "use" button. Also, the music and sound effects really enhance the atmosphere.

I just wish the second vision puzzle (which is not required for the main ending) had the entire solution in game. Having to ask friends about the missing pieces is a novel idea. However, I don't have any friends that played Kairo, so I just ended up finding the solution on-line. And that felt lame.

For me, Delver seems to have hit the difficulty sweet spot for roguelikes. While I may die on some runs out of carelessness, I'll usually return to the surface successfully in Delver. That's something I can't say about any other Retrieve-The-Orb games.

Maybe it's because this game is a first-person action game, something that roguelikes usually aren't. I personally find it more engaging to play. Which means I'll play it more, and thus be more successful more often.

What's really amazing is that this game isn't finished, yet it is already extremely fun to play. A great example of what an Early Access game should be.

This game is essential for anyone that's into cyberpunk stuff. You play as a computer hacker, and it's your job to hack just about everything. There's a good variety of side-missions alongside a relatively short campaign. The side-missions involve things like disabling systems, changing criminal records, and getting bank account details.

There's one type of side mission where a person will receive a large amount of money. The mission briefing tells you to get this person's name. However, if you have the proper tools, you can hack that person's account and take the money (usually above 500k credits) for yourself. The game gets a lot easier after doing so, since you can buy just about everything after doing it once or twice...

...But on the flip side, it's super cool that you can hack a bank to get more money. That's the great thing about this game. You get to pick your own course of action without any hand-holding.

And there's a functioning IRC client built into the game. 11/10 GOTYAY

This game is awesome if you like 2D hack 'n' slashes. The challenge was good when I played solo with the Ranger on Medium. The combat is tight and the music gets stuck in your head. Highly recommend playing this one. Oh, and play with a controller.

Note to Linux users: I had trouble launching the game from Steam at first. On Arch Linux, I needed to install mono and add "LD_LIBRARY_PATH=:/usr/lib/mono %command%" to the launch options

Fun game. It plays a lot like The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, but with (unfortunately) more jumping puzzles. The music is great and gives off an Earthbound vibe. The visual art isn't too bad either. Definitely play this game, but pay no attention to the super pretentious dialog/story.

Oh, and -100 points for using Adobe Air. What a pain if you're not using a supported platform.

This is visually a beautiful game. Each area of the Metroid-like map has its own superb atmosphere, from The Kelp Forest to The Veil to The Abyss. In addition, all of the moving sprites have the same high-quality as the environments. At some points, it was difficult to tell what I could interact with and what was part of the background (which is not a bad thing).

You play as Naija, a humanoid sea-creature. Her primary ability is singing, which can allow her to interact with the environment or transform into other creatures. Where is really shines is how well, she harmonizes with the background music. All of it together is magical, and a showcase of great sound design.

Naija herself is a good example of how to do a proper female protagonist. Her journey is akin to an archaeologist. As she progresses, she learns more about her origins, as well as the rise and fall of the sea's various lifeforms. Later in the game, a romance spawns between Naija and another character. This romance manages to not be cheesy (something that can't be said about most video game romances), and it actually introduces some gameplay mechanics.

Everything about this game is so strong, it's hard to find something to complain about. However, I found that the cooking/crafting system was clunky when trying to make a bunch of items at once.

This is a pretty fun top-down shooter. The visuals are nice and the controls are smooth. The weapon selection is good and provides some good ways of dealing with certain situations. For example, the MIRV is useful for taking out enemies on the other sides of barriers.

However, it's a little short, and the difficulty curve is all over the place. I played on Arcade (easy mode) because I'm a casual babby. But every now and then, a really difficult level would pop up that would make me want to rage quit.

The final boss was rightfully difficult, but perhaps TOO difficult. The only way I managed to defeat it was to get it into a corner by a fence and then spam Beam Cannon through said fence. Beating it was satisfying, but it felt cheap at the same time.

One more thing I should mention is that I had a few technical problems with this game. I'm not sure if this exclusive to nVidia users, but I had to enter "sv_gameplayfix_nudgeoutofsolid 1" in the console to fix some major slowdown on a few levels, such as the second tutorial level. Otherwise, the game ran fine.
