Fantastic game that captures the suspense and frustration you get from watching the movie. An assortment of tools to help you avoid, distract, and even fight off the xenomorph allows you to play the game in your own style. 10/10

Solid, simple roguelike with base building elements. Cult of the Lamb has a really cool satanic vibe juxtaposed with cutesy little animals. Fairly short as far as roguelikes go but it's strength is in the story that it tells. I would like to see more content in the future. 8/10

Wizard of Legend has quickly become my favorite game this month. Play as a genderless and aspiring wizard who travels back in time to compete in a gauntlet of foes and other wizards. You collect spells or "arcana" that fall into the five elements of fire, water, wind, lightning, and earth (and chaos). A lot of the fun is derived from making fun combinations of the arcana you collect to make your own unique builds. Wizard of Legend draws on a "do a little better each time" mechanic that makes failure a little less painful while still making you want to jump right into the portal again. This game has beautiful pixel-art animation and a wonderfully orchestrated fantasy soundtrack. Also, you can change the color of your cloak! This is a solid game and I highly recommend purchasing it at whatever price it is when you read this review.

With visually-stunning environments, engaging turn-by-turn combat, and a brilliant soundtrack to boot, Child of Light turned out to be one of the most enjoyable games I played this year. Aurora and her companions take on a mysterous and magical world full of unique and challenging creatures. The environments are colorful and appealing and the characters are fun and charming. Also, all the dialogue is written in a rhyme scheme. Please don't pass up the opportunity to take on this wonderful (rhyming) adventure!
