I found this game when I saw the announcement it was out. I had never heard of it, but the name intrigued me. I went to look it up, saw the gameplay, I am a sucker for souls-like games and pixel art games. Metroidvania has always been a genre I wanted to play but there were no games in the genre I wanted to go out of the way to buy. I started the game up, saw the souls like character selection. I loved the variety of ways to play. Granted there could be more, but the amount of replayability for a $20 game is pretty nice. Slime Rancher was a $20 game that got a lot of love for how fun and relaxing it was but eventually, you had done everything and then that was it. With this game it could take a long time to complete everything. I am on my second run. This game has NG+ and I did that with my first run, but I wanted to try out some other builds. I am still having a lot of fun with it and I honestly think it is worth the $20. That's just gameplay, the story is great, there are some really nice bits of dialogue that made me chuckle, there were also some boss fights that frustrated me but it felt so good to beat them. tl;dr I really like this game, and I think anyone who is a fan of Souls-like and metroidvania games will too.
