The game is such a mission to even get it to start, and once you finally do manage to get it to start, you can't use any controller you want and you can't rebind the buttons to a setup you're comfortable with.

I'm making one last attempt to contact the support about my controller issues and if it doesn't work out I'm refunding the game because this is far too much effort on my part to get something I've already paid for to work as it should straight away.

If you're playing with a mouse and keyboard, you'll be fighting the controls more than the enemies. This is a controller or nothing game. Your movement is so incredibly hindered without one that it's not even worth playing if you don't have one.

A lot of other reviews mention bad optimization, and while there is frame loss on the lowest quality/highest performance setting, even on a 3050, it's not because of bad optimization, it's because there is no optimization at all. It's an early access game, so at this point, you get exactly what you pay for: a laggy, incomplete, inconsistent piece of art which is better to look at than play. And it is *very* nice to look at.

open the game, look for the play button and all you can find is a subscription service blocking the ability to play the game

Since the 1896 update, the servers have gone from semi-functional and impossible to reconnect to to barely functional and STILL impossible to reconnect to.

The devs never address the problem and make seemingly no attempt to fix it while continuing to release skins and external merch.

Full disclosure, I was one of the testers for this game while it was in closed beta, and it has only gotten more and more fun. If you ever played a custom Warcraft 3 map, or are familiar with card games like Hearthstone or auto battlers like DotA Underlords or Riot's TFT, you'll enjoy this game. If you're not familiar with any of these, you'll still enjoy it!
