I like it, its fun, it's a combination of skill and team work that need to be put in but mostly skill. with that said there is little to no learning curve if you are using a controller or flight stick. I feel like keyboard is a little unmanageable if you can't remember the controls. No loot boxes and everything is reasonably unlockable. Game play is solid and there really isn't a clear meta, but I find myself needing to balance my ship to to more agility than speed but you might be different. There is a good amount of customization for now. Definitely worth the $40. I haven't played much of the story. Its very immersive and beautiful and I feel like I am in a real starwars dog fight. I do wish there was a squad of AI so you can make formations and they can support you but it is what I see as a missed opportunity.

When I played it didn't feel like that and I felt like you have to pay attention to most if not everything you do(which isn't a lot but can seem like it) to line up a kill. The mechanics are from a starwars universe base which makes it very different from how it looks to how it actually plays. Most of everyone's deaths were due to messing up. To me, it feels like actual space physics, but not all, was applied and you have to learn that 1. Your cockpit is small, so your ship is relatively small as well so you can slip through small cracks and tight corners, 2. what ever you do do not come to a complete stop to make a tight turn because you will get shot down, and 3. you need to take your time and realize it is worth it for the kill because you are fighting against only player(in dog fight mode) and I GET HYPE when I get a kill.
