One of the best isometric RPG's I have played in a long time. Good amount of depth and lots to do ingame with a decent story. The steam controller support is particularily nice, as the incessant mouse clicking has turned me off this type of game more recently.

This game is a classic I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it before.

I had quite a few issues with endgame when the game first launched, but it seems like with the release of patch 1.4 that most of the issues I took with the game regarding lack of direction and needless grind to fill the gap have been almost entirely alleviated.

It's still a loot grind of course, but if that's what you're looking for to have some fun with a few friends in a somewhat interesting and well detailed setting then the game is much better for that now then it ever was at launch.

I am beside myself as to how anyone thought locking items to save games is a good idea.

Performance and mouse accelleration problems aside, I cannot recommend it. The game is setup to be microtransaction bait.

A big throwback to old-school RPGs, and one of the better games of the genre to come out over the last couple years.

The crafting system is good, the story is alright, and the setting really pulls you in. The combat and leveling system, especially with the oddity alternative is really neat and you can spend quite a bit of time just planning out your proper builds, which I would recommend due to the games' unforgiving nature.

It's strange how the main game, Gwent, is hidden in some kind of wierd story-driven RPG.
The RPG is okay too I guess.

Early Access Review
A really awesome rogue-like with tower defense aspects.
Coupled with good music, pretty tough difficulty at times, and a decent pixel aesthetic you'll easily find yourself crying on the floor after all your heroes die.
