EU4 takes a while to learn, for me it took about 200 hours before I was any good at the game. At first, you're driven by your desire to create alternate history scenarios, seeing if you can do it better than rulers did in our timeline or save a country from its doom. Once you're good enough to not only save Byzantium, but lead them to be resurgent and form the Roman Empire, you'll basically reach the peak of saving said dead historical nations. At its core, EU4 is a game about stacking modifier after modifier on top of one another to do things that are absolutely absurd. It's still really fun, but different. As for the DLC, don't buy them off the steam store. They're essentially necessary to play the game, so you'll need them, but don't encourage Paradox to hide game mechanics behind DLC by giving them your cold hard cash.

Great DLC, essential for playing the game really. $20 is a lot of course so I recommend getting it on sale, like everything else on steam really. Crises work very well, great for small powers trying to get their cores, and nice for the great powers to boost their prestige. Scramble for Africa is also a lot of fun.

Danganropa is really something else.
One of my friends is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weeb, you know the type. He always went on about this game, and so I asked him what it was about. The concept sounded cool, an evil Chris Mclain from Total Drama Island in the form of a robotic bear tries to force students to kill one another. The only thing holding it back was this: it was partially a visual novel. But this is no dating simulator, this is Danganropa. I actually played the game and finished the main story recently. I was blown away. The trials are absoultely fantastic, and the satisfaction of picking up on something alone is reason enough for this game. However, the characters in this game are the real memorable thing about it. Like I said, a robotic teddy bear forces students to kill one another. The jokes hit their targets, and when the game wants to be serious, it is. I'm doing a playthrough now on the secret mode, wish me luck!
