This is the zombie survival experience I've been waiting for for a long time. While it consists of typical zombie survival fare such as looting houses and shops for weapons and supplies, fighting off hordes of zombies and barricading windows and doors, it offers many more unique facets of gameplay that set it apart from other games of the genre.

There truly is so much packed into this game, such as the "moodlets" which indicate current emotional, mental and physical state, not unalike the something from the Sims, or details as simple yet intuitive as hanging up bedsheets above uncurtained windows so as to break the line of sight of zombies, who would otherwise attempt (and succeed) in breaking in and murdering you. Foods rot without refridgeration, but then utilities such as water and electricity will cut off eventually, forcing you to stock up on non-perishables like canned soup or farming your own, and rain collecting barrels must be built. You can add an additional level to your house for a greater field of view and to reinforce your defenses. If you find even these features lacking, there is already a vibrant selection of mods to add even more to already rich game.

The best part is that this is only just the beginning for this game. There are so many features to come, such as local and online multiplayer, NPC's and animals (and therefore hunting as well) and I can only see a bright future for it. Yet despite it's the fact that it is still in an early stage of development, it is already enormously playable.

I strongly urge you to buy this game if you have an interest in the zombie survival genre, and I would like to remind you that every dollar aids the developers in it's creation.

If you enjoy a good zombie romp, and I know I certainly do, this might be the game for you. Featuring a bunch of different zed types, and a tonne of weapons, each tailored to suit one of seven classes, you'll have a fun and varied experience trying out different play styles. The shooting is solid, but the hitboxes are slightly iffy and the models and animations are pretty old school, but it's a modestly priced title, so that is to be expected. That said, this is one for the whole family, and some friends as well, because in co-op, it's awesome.
