Excellent. One of the best colony management games I've ever played. Controls and mechanics are intuitive, feel great, and the presentation is top class.

Highly recommended, especially with the Hitman 1-2 maps. IO have well and truly unseated Blood Money as the best Hitman game, and it's still being heavily supported with an entirely new roguelite assassination mode too

Sorcery! Part 3 takes what Parts 1 and 2 did and adds another great twist on the expected gameplay loop.

It's been a while since I last played it, but I saw it in my library and was surprised I hadn't written a review, so here we go.

To keep it short and sweet, Sorcery! Part 3 keeps up the fantastic standard inkle had previously set, and I'm happy to say that once again they pulled something special out of the bag - smartly written, with a biting wit
(thank you, Steve Jackson) and puzzles which genuinely require some thought. I'd honestly keep playing and playing these games if inkle were happy to make them.

Edit: also if anyone else knows of something similar to Sorcery! please let me know.

The only game I've ever been good enough at to try speedrunning, Eldritch is a tonne of fun for anyone who enjoys a fast-paced (or slow-paced, depending on your style) roguelike with pick-up-and-play simplicity and a killer aesthetic.

Definitely my favourite game I've played lately, maybe one of my favourites overall. It's excellent, and the less you know about it the better.

It was quite janky. It's now much better, though not perfect. Best find a nice guild or play with friends for the most amount of fun.

Early Access Review
Buggy? Yes.

Incomplete? Yes.

Fun? Yes!

Mist: Survival is a good survival game. I really enjoyed my time with it and already feel like I've gotten my money's worth. That's the bottom line, really. If you like games like this, where you explore the world bit by bit as you struggle to stay alive, then support a good developer and pay the very reasonable 8.99€.

Some nitpicks I hope will be fixed in future updates:

- more expansive and fleshed-out world
- a decent story
- random events (more than just the Mist event)
- More weapons
- Better enemy AI (and maybe more enemy types?)
- game customisation (i.e. altering thirst/hunger rates, injury severity, weapon rarity, mist frequency)
- co-op multiplayer
- better friendly AI
- better death consequences

If these were added to the game leading up to release I can honestly say I would be happy to pay 50€ for Mist.

Give it a go. It's a lot of fun.

Almost finished Part 2 as I write this:

Sorcery! is so effing good. The first text adventure I've truly gotten engrossed in and boy is it enjoyable. The magic system is great and the writing is impeccable.

While the first Part is more linear, Part 2 drops you in the middle of a massive city to explore at your own behest. It really is a lot of fun, and if you've never gotten into this type of Interactive Fiction before then this is a great jumping-on point.

My biggest gripe with the game is how easily it lets you rewind a certain part and try again. That said, it doesn't really take away from how much fun it is. Luckily for me I didn't even know this was a feature until the end of Part 1.

At 9.99€ (or your regional equivalent), Sorcery! is definitely worth it.

Get lost, have fun. The world is well fleshed out and full of interesting ideas.

P.S. Mild spoilers but as a tip I recommend you spare the assassin. He's a baller.

EDIT: Reading the other reviews it's annoying how many people are complaining about the combat system. This is a text adventure, so the combat is obviously not a priority anyway.

Having said that, those who say it's "random" just have no idea how the combat in the game works (i.e. how combat works in the real world). You have to read what's going on and anticipate the actions of your enemy based on their energy, attack patterns and stamina. This is 100% possible and is not based on a script called "generate attack: random".
