This fantastic romp of a game doesn't need many words.. like old school FPS? Check.. Like primative yet endearing graphics? Check.. Crusty female swearing one-liners?! Check.. yup, it's all here. Buy away!

One of the remakes of Wolfenstein relaunched in the 2000's. Good game, slower pace, more releastic (at first) weapons before we move onto some truly jaw dropping arsenal. The voice actor is so-so but the graohucs have held up well for the time frame that they hail from with FMV cut scenes present throughout. Look for missing intelligence papers/documents and gold to unlock additional weapon upgrades and the ability to afford them purchased through the black market. The game also throws an odd ability at you through the use of a Thule medallion where you can insert special crystals that give you powers to slow down time, enter through certain walls, etc). The game has some challenging enemies (those ninja sisters for one).. wow. The storyline set's up the new villain for the next series of Wolfenstein games.. watch to the end of my stream to see him or play this game yourself, which is - Highly Recommended!

What else can I say?! It is Missile Command Recharged! Great game though it is no longer the 80's so the appeal has lost some charm, but the upgrade options are nice touch (four upgrade options to choose from : Power, Speed, Rebuild Rate, Reload - all based on accumulative scores). Good fun and frantic as you progress further. BTW, mouse is best to simulate a track ball.. gamepad is poor in my opinion

Despite hardly no time in this game, I am already familiar with the man who created it: Jeff Minter (The Yak!) of Llamasoft fame. I strongly advise everyone to look up his company and the man himself. He is a legend and is very eccentric to say the least.

The visuals are stunning, with colors flying everywhere in all the glorious pixel explosions! Christmas lights everywhere and a pulse thumping, heart throbbing musical score to accomplish all your mushroom induced dreams - w/o the need to consume any.

Doesn't support a wide range of resolutions which is the only main disappointment here and it essential requires an Xbox controller or compatible.

Essentially a continuation of the first game (Alien Breed: Impact), and that is a good thing. Pretty much all the same here (but with more of everything) - more enemies thrown at you and more elaborate level puzzles to solve. The graphics are powered by the unReal engine and are serviceable by today's standards, the music is also good and the voice acting so so. The story line has some touching moments between Conrad (protagonist) and his robotic lady, Mia. All in all a fun game to play and fairly short at that. Recommended!

An impressive 2D RTS game with colorful visuals and even more colorful characters. You get to play as the Vikings, Aztecs, and the Chinese. Music is good and character audio is funny and bizarre.. but in a good way! Lot's of little touches here and there make the game standout. It offers multiplayer and is very easy to operate making it ideal for children and adults. Each civilization is given certain powers that make it unique and offers strategic abilities in conquering your enemy. You also can cast spells in realtime such as possession or snow flurries but it will drain your mana. All in all a very good game and highly recommended.

Redeemer is a isometric, top-down beat 'em up that is super fun.. and hard. You play a marine turned monk Vasily. The game employs multiple hand to hand combat and fatality like animations which you can employ on your enemies in some gory and glorious details using various weapons, skills, and PvE animations (saws, chairs, fire extinguishers, etc). The Enhanced Edition supports co-op which I have as yet to try but I imagine would be quite fun based on my current experience with solo play. The graphics are very well done, the voice okay acting serviceable, and little details such as the fatality animations are often zoomed up close and are hilarious. You often have to employ some steal and strategy in various levels rather then attempt to take out all enemies in order to survive. The boss's are difficult, as are some enemies such as the brute (oh my, hate this guy) that caused me to run and search for any and all weapons for help in defeating them. All in all I recommend the game.

Despite the bugs and the predisposition of the game to literally lose my account multiple times and thus start over... it is still a fun game once you get into it. The game features Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison, a soldier who lost her arm due to a bomb planted by her future nemesis: Dr. Haskel. The game allows you to choose between DirectX 9 or 11, and enable realtime rendering of the cutscenes. I think it looks beautiful and vibrant. You are presented an isometric top down view, which unfortunately cannot be controlled and is therefore stilted; forcing you run into some things blindly and shoot enemies out your view of sight. Still, it is serviceable. The is adequate to excellent, cheeky one-liners throughout and a nice heavy metal and synth musical score. Not super excellent, but fun - if you get it at a good price. :-)

I've been replaying a lot of older games and I just had to replay this one.. I am surprised that I haven't reviewed it so here it goes: You play a character named Isaac, who is not equipped with weapons (at first) but is a space engineer. Assigned to a space ship/station whose distress beacon was heard by your company, you arrive to a nightmare situation. Where did the crew go? What happened? These are some of the questions that will be answered as hell unfolds before your (helmet) eyes. The graphics, even since 2007, are still remarkably well done and suit the ambient atmosphere of the game perfectly - I have no complaints. The audio is scary, brooding, and ready to pounce upon your nerves at any moment. Music is largely non-existent but that is a resounding good decision by the developers. What music that is heard is barely distinguishable from the background ambience. This is one of those games that has to be experienced, rather than played. Highly recommended, and certainly worth a replay if it's been a while.

I've been playing a lot of dated games as of late and this one is not exception .. id Software decided to take a different approach to the Doom franchise and attempted to make a game less trigger happy and more cerebral. As such, it is dripping with atmosphere. No music, just grunts and ambient sounds. Coupled with an always dying flashlight, you must explore a base on Mars that is inhabited by demons and other foul things. The graphics are so so according to today's standards but the game is fun. Just don't expect the usual Doom experience. Nonetheless, recommended!
