It crashed in the first actual mission (after tutorial) and requires third party account for online play.

**IMPORTANT UPDATE:** I don't know why or how, but this **completely** fixed the issue for me. In Nvidia control panel, I limited fps to 59 and turned v-sync on, and it didn't crash a single time in the last 3 hours.

Because I am personally not bothered by the Epic Games sign-in, and my crash issues seem to be resolved (for now at least,) I am changing this review to Positive. EDF has always been a fun series with wacky physics and goofy atmosphere, and the changes in EDF6 to the inventory system allow you to bring even more fun gadgets to the battle.

Additionally, Epic Games isn't ACTUALLY required. It's just a backend to enable multiplayer crossplay. It just needs you to put in your birthday (you can fake it if you want) and connect it to your Steam account and you're good to go. There is NO NEED to open up your email for anything at all. It's not even an actual Epic Games account.

Rare Sony W.

EDIT: Review changed to negative due to cringe nerfs in the Escalation of Freedom patch. The patch before this one was a phenomenal improvement in regards to balance after many steps backwards. I'm not sure why they did another 180 and heavily nerfed the Breaker Incendiary as well as the Flamethrower.

Nerfs don't need to be this severe.

EDIT 2: Arrowhead finally made the right choice. The September buff patch has totally revitalized the game in ways that don't trivialize the challenge. Enemies are more fun to face with a wider variety of loadouts that are viable. It's a massive step forward for Helldivers 2.

It's a very cute and surprisingly in-depth anime tactics game. It makes you think, and there are a variety of ways to complete every mission. I like that the game has several male lead characters because oftentimes in games like this you would only see female characters. The story is engaging and interesting in the way that it slowly unfolds and the characters' interactions with each other are believable and dynamic. Animations are extremely cute and smoothly animated, contrasting with the overall darker nature of the game and its subject matters.

You can craft items to take along with you to your next mission, and figuring out which ones you might need is fun. The simpler items like grenades are very simple to make and can be very heavily upgraded without costing any more resources to craft.

You don't unlock new characters too quickly, at least at the beginning but I see this as a good thing because it helps you learn and get accustomed to the skills of each respective character so that you are better equipped to deal with the challenges the game presents you later on.

The soundtrack is good, it never gets annoying or in my way personally, and it always fits the mood of the scene whether it be battle or story. The characters are all very cute and it is extremely fun to watch their smooth, fluid animations as they perform various actions during battle, or even when they are just vibing in the preparation stage before each mission. I've been playing on the Standard difficulty, and the missions (at least in chapter 1) have already been an enjoyable mix of challenge and tutorials, where they teach you various important mechanics while also challenging what you've learned so far at the same time. The first chapter of the game is definitely one of the better learning phases of most games I've played, and the first chapter ends on a very interesting twist that is likely to keep anyone hooked to find out what happens next.

If you read up until now, well done. If you want a community for Codename Bakery that is free of any cringe drama related to GFL2, here's a link to the unoffiical Steam fan group: https://gtm.you1.cn/groups/CodenameBakery

Really moody atmosphere. Main character is compelling, intelligent, and capable but I wish his face looked more like it looks on the cover of the game. His in-game face doesn't look bad though.

Really good graphics but poor optimization and facial/eye animations seem slightly broken/bugged.

Acting is high quality for the most part. The Unworld does really well in terms of sprucing up the gameplay. Music is extremely good.

Deluxe Edition outfit looks really nice. The details on the sword are exquisite.

In the game's current state, it NEEDS an AI mod. Thankfully they're easy to make yourself, and even easier to download. I use Jug's Gameplay Review and it plays very similarly to Swat 4.

The tutorial is buggy but aside form that, I have no real negative criticism of the game. Voice acting is more than good enough, graphics are gorgeous (optimization pass needed though, especially in the headquarters) and the game plays like an evolved, modern Swat 4.

If you liked Swat 4 then I think you'll like RoN too, but please I cannot stress this enough, GET an AI mod at least until the devs fix it themselves. If you don't know about Swat 4, you'll still love Ready or Not if you enjoy tactical and strategic approaches to gunplay. Teammate AI is fine.

Buggy tutorial and broken vanilla AI aside, Ready or Not is a modern gem and the Swat 5 that we always deserved to have, but with its own unique spin.

If you approach this game as a highly upgraded version of Skyrim (which is still putting it VERY lightly) then your expectations will be exceeded. If you approach this game as if it's some godly combination of No Man's Sky and Red Dead 2, you'll be extremely disappointed.

It's a Bethesda game, and it comes with all of what you'd expect if you've played their games in the past, and more. It's their greatest masterpiece to date, and it would be a shame if you missed out on it just because you were expecting it to be something it wasn't designed and developed to be. It's a mixture of Prey, Dishonored, and Deus Ex, with some open world sprinkled in.

I love Shining Resonance for personal reasons.

It's one of those types of games where, if you don't have personal investment or involvement in it, you aren't going to be hooked into it. That's why some people perceive Shining Resonance to be mediocre, because they aren't personally invested in it.

But, short of a Tarot reading, how can you *know* that you'll be personally invested in a game? How do you know before you make that purchase and invest that time?

That's something you need to find out for yourself. You do have a two hour refund window, after all. I have 44 hours in the game without actually making much progress because I just love the combat and being in the shoes of the characters and interacting with them. And the game's main character draws a lot of similarities with my past lives.

But not everyone will feel exactly that way. That's why it's me and not anyone else. But another person could invest themselves in the game in a way I never would have guessed because that's just how it appealed to them. It's like art. It's worth a try if you can get personally invested in the story or characters, otherwise it will be missing "something" for you.

The game is good after the latest patch. Exposure is an amazing map. I bought it last week and have played every day. I've also been a fan of Battlefield since 1942, so I have some credibility here. It's a good game.

I mained Ninja and even though the playstyle was insanely fun, the grind was unjust and unhealthy, to say nothing about how it was literally unrewarding if you missed an enhancement.

If you want an action MMO that ISN'T repetitive regardless of your class, play Vindictus. It's BDO but better in almost every way. Unlike BDO, it's extremely difficult to get tired of the game because you're always fighting different bosses across different Seasons of the game, and going on raids with all kinds of different people.

I don't regret a second I spent in BDO. I had an amazing experience there. I made plenty of friends, had fun with lots of people, met lots of girls, achieved all the goals I wanted. But nothing can justify the repetition.

It's also important to note that grind and repetition are two different concepts.
BDO's gameplay is fun, but you just can't have a cake with just the frosting.

This game is the reason why polyamory exists. Good lord this game is quite the adventure.

I barely had enough time with my Tropical Waifu before I got thrusted into a whole new relationship with a smoll, thicc elf with a tiny skirt. Goodbye Kayna, the hug felt REALLY good.😏

If I could even BEGIN to describe the emotional rollercoaster I was riding in when I had to say bye to my tropical waifu who I barely had enough time with before getting LITERALLY POUNCED ON by some random mint-haired elf. It felt like I was cheating on Kayna but I also barely felt regret because Ena is so hot in her own way. I was like "well, guess I'm doing this now." Forgive me Kayna, this was not by choice...but it feels so good.

And guess what? There is a THIRD waifu material named Avinia that I haven't met yet, my goodness this game is just bouncing me between different love lives and my heart can barely handle it.

I can't take it man. This is why polyamory is a thing.
