I think I want to like this game a lot more than I actually do. Ultimately, I do appreciate what it's trying to do - There's not really anything else like it that I've encountered. But the difficulty is absolutely solid, and depends more on luck than actual skill, and makes playing the game quite taxing. There's a lot of systems going on that I don't fully understand, as well, but I still feel compelled to plink away at it occasionally to see what weirdness happens next.

It has a Shiba Inu as a shopkeeper, though, so that's good.

I've lived in quaint little English villages all my life, and I can confirm that we all turn into cats and dogs during a full moon. Probably the most realistic game ever made, really.

I consider XCOM: Enemy Unknown / Within to be almost a perfect game. I've purchased it four times, because I'm a moron. I wanted to like XCOM 2 more but I found it a bit more unfair and kept bouncing off it. This is a nice little side idea with a twist in mechanics, some more fleshed out characters (I actually laughed at the intro in an XCOM game!) rather than your customisable bois and girls, and smaller scale missions. Will it be as memorable to me as XCOM 1? So far, it's making a good impression.

I think about this game all the time. I love it. Sure, it looks dated now, and the hands look quite silly, but the cartography, the botany, and the monster you aren't even aware of for hours, it all clicked with me.

A game that excels only in testing your patience, offering you only the mere illusion of choice. If the game had any guts it would commit to it's idea of loss, but the next chapter, everything is back to normal.

I actively hated playing every minute of this game, and by the time I got to the desert, I wanted to claw my eyes out. Awful in every respect.

Played two games with a blank bullet, thought I got the hang of it.

Somehow, I have 33 hours in this game. It takes like 3 minutes to complete. I think I tried to get a wireless xbox controller to work on my PC, before I realised I needed a wired one, and this was the game I tested. Now my controller solution works like a dream.

Game is fine, too.

This new furniture looks so good, it's like looking at an Ikea catalog.

Even with my limited time within the hands of Into the Dark: Ultimate Trash Edition, I knew that I'd made a bad choice. Like B-Movies, some B-Tier games come in a couple of flavours - The first is a product made with heart. It's flawed, but you have fun because it's a pleasure to watch. The second is a cash in piece of nonsense, made by people who take one look at a genre of horror and want a piece of that pie.

This game falls into the second catagory. Oh, how we chuckled as an image of a developer told me 'read the f***ing manual'. Oh, we giggled as I had to change any settings within the .ini file. Oh, how quickly I uninstalled the game as I tired of trying to navigate pitch black rooms with little to no sense as to where I was going.

The voice acting is dreadful (more dreadful than my own), and sounds like it was recorded on a Nokia 3210.

Avoid like the Plague.
