First positive Cyb77 review I did since 2020

I uninstalled over 200 mods to test the 2.0 update since its free of charge, and the game is on a discount. I thought a fourth time would help clear things for those in need. Yes I hate what they did to us, but I'm rational, I have no bias so I admit it if its better.

While some mods did MUCH better, only a company has the proper tech for bigger features. I believe that's the right way anyway. For the newcomers, this is your chance to come see. If you're veteran, then think what's the best angle for you.

THE GOOD FIXES

The fixing they did lies between decent rethink and reconstruction, which is a noble thing, but with awful make-shifts everywhere, some other crucial stuff were simply ignored, which is crazy. The result is a decent fix that rendering a better game, but phony and wasted at times.

Believe it on not, even after major fixes, relic malfunction glitch still happened. Had to download "Glitch, Be Gone" mod on Nexus to fix it.

Still not the dream they fooled us with, but better this way than the highway I guess.

1) Driving mechanics

Decent sounds and physics, one of the best so far. The outdated driving wasn't just "fixed" it has been overhauled. Attention to detail finally made cars better, including sounds. They finally added a logical camera to look behind when in first person, it is just pleasant to drive now. Shooting from inside the car is actually easy to do and VERY essential, except for VERY ANNOYING auto-center. Also, pedestrians won't overreact to every little move you do with car anymore. Bikes however, could have had it better.

2) Police is actually policing

It is not the ones they promised, taking bribes and sheat, but when there is police they no longer teleport. They pursue you now, either on foot or in car and this helps with overall gameplay. They may or not show up on streets during missions, possibility of chaos in a beautiful 1980 ultra-violence. I tested it myself and even Max-tac shows up.

Look at me, all happy with something that should have been with the game from day one. Life sucks.

3) Firing is more RPG and less COD

Even stamina goes down when firing, loses or stacks critical chances, accuracy, player movement is tunned from whimp, to cyber-warrior. The AI is finally decent and poses a good intense fighting, sometimes they even move and plan. I still could see a bug or two when AI is farting too much, but no big deal.

4) Cyberware core systems overhauled

Buckle up, this will take a word.

Perks and advantages for gameplay and control, now feel more logical and functional to learn and to use them. Once you implant some, there will be upgrades to be done after using that implant, given you find or buy the items with the associated tier - Upgrading before considering changing it is more organic now. Both implants and perks can now work independently of each other. There will be penalties of course, but some won't. You gotta mind the Edgerunner limitations, to slowly adapt (there is no cyberpsychosis) It is much better to evolve an implant wherever class you want, because the path that connects with the next perk acts nice. There is no denial, it is way better than before.

Sadly, only the NPCs gets all these ♥♥♥♥ implants. V implants still looks boring. Not much attention to details when you put new cyberware still, (the anesthesia scar STILL won't disappear). I never needed a single mod to play Witcher 3, but for Cyb77, we'd still need mods over hundreds.

5) Graphics are great. Too great.

Immersion has been magnified at least 10 times more, if that's even possible. Graphics got seriously pumped. But it all sounds shady in my opinion, like an easier way to get people to play it instead of fixing more core features. If you don't have the rig, it still looks good. It only took them 3 years to add details to basics every game has, like shattering glasses. Yay.

- They added curious choices for main quest events that I don't remember seeing before.

- You can buy some cars by browsing internet, no more spamming messages.

- Cellphone messages is more immersive with easy access instead of game's menu.

- The weapons can evolve their tiers now, not exactly confusing anymore.

- World feels a bit more alive with randoms, such as blocking or perpetual gang wars.

- Pedestrian still walks around as dumb as they can, but at least they won't panic too much or disappear or turn into potatoes anymore.

- Massive horrible bugs are gone, while other lesser ones still lives.

- I managed to catch TV shows this time but they're still badly synced.

- They eased the annoying ads (tv, outdoors, etc) a little bit.

THE BAD LEFT-OVERS

Everytime they add something new trying to fix things, they forget something else and it shows. Example; added car radio to play on foot = they forgot to give you the option to not play when on foot. There will be odd things everywhere, like if you don't talk to specific NPCs to activate a quest, the quest will activate anyways. Like with that boxer coach. These weird things are the product of low attention decisions.

1) I don't like CDPR authoritarian delusions over the internet. As if they could control it by deleting and black listing.

2) Lesser technical debts still lives.

- Believe me or not, but "relic malfunction" glitch may still happen after Clouds quest.

- For 3 years straight, a bug may prevent music from playing, or footsteps from popping up.

- Also, volume still is a mess. Music action or radio music sometimes are too low or too loud.

- Lots of graphical options, but for gameplay there is no option to turn off auto-center when driving.

- Stuff like "wardrobe" still exists, regardless if clothes stats were mostly removed.

- If you're sneaking and attempt to hack a terminal, you can still be spotted due a 3 years old stand-up glitch.

3) Clothes are mostly FUGLY and useless after mods and armor removal.

But they never rearranged the names. The "sturdy jacket" and "bulky pants" will still be colored and named as if they still matter. A few visor or something else may sometimes give you passive stats, like zoom or a piece of armor. The clothes for V still are mostly ugly, your only solution still is player based made mods from the Nexus.

4) No NPCs to recruit or roam around

Despise our pleas, they refused to let secondary NPCs to follow you, given they're active outside scripted quests, making this the first major RPG without companions. You're still a one-man army to explore, what a WASTE of incredible NPCs.

5) Scripted quests still masks the open world

A waste of good immersion. The lifepaths still are generic and least impactful, same intro video and short prelude. All this time and only one new mini-game was added "Trauma Drama" but at least its fun. The other mini-games are still only for show. How modders managed to do mini-games and rich devs didn't is beyond me.

6) World still won't have enough side activities. No shooting range to test guns. Most activites are one time per quest only, but they at least added car racing even after the quest is done.

CDPR promised me a Lamborghini in 2014, but when I opened my garage, there was a cute bettle wagon ready to bounce. Who would say no to that? That can be fun too. Like when I shake my fake boobs and guys still get a hard on.

Final Re-score 6.5/10 - Bettle wagon of happiness

Good: Great immersion, very loyal to the source material, nice cyberpunk themed experience. Bad: Underdeveloped features, heavily scripted quests, lack of attention and technical debts. I recommend buying it in discounts. See a review about the danger of mods in here.

The last mysterious Assassin's Creed

There is no way I won't recommend China, it is a great AC experience for those who care about the first two games, despise its flaws. Ezio trained Shao Jun, the most stylish assassin since Altair, performing graceful stunts to kill and then vanishing like a ghost, including a feet-dagger. It is no easy task to go classic, back again as it was in the past, the game is pseudo 3D side-scrolling that looks like Chronicles of Sub-Zero. It isn't less complex than a full third person 3D game and can find its place on best AC games, maybe its just not enough for the setting. What really caught my attention the main character has the best voice acting on any AC to date and it is a waste to see that character squandered away with just a single game.

https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2294034896

I really like the artwork cutscenes progressing the story telling, strikes the old Chinese artwork with such style and class. Like it was with Altair, Shao isn't human but a creature, perharps a light, winged feline, it is a extremly well fit character (acting independently from the order yet so loyal to it) for the revenge and cold lore she totally belongs to. Music and art is minimalist for such category but that doesn't mean it is insufficient, it fits right in and you can feel the era as well. Since AC has gone towards the RPG direction, the classic game-style is replicated on these three side-scrolling games (China, India and Russia). Jesper Kid used to be the mind behind Masyaf's and bureal music, Jade Raymond and Patrice Désilets the directors that made AC1 and AC2 so mysterious, and I consider China the last grasp of the old AC's direction on that regard even though it is a compeltely different team.

China's deserves a full remake it will never have, like AC1 deserves a remaster it will never happen.

Unaware programmers and a awful port:

1- If you're using a keyboard, be ready to get your hands violated.
2- Some sound effects are missing during combat, or just sounds poor or out of sync.
3- Menu navigation is confusing and violates basic UI rules.
4- Very slow response between one action and another.
5- Heavy and clunky controls.
6- Idiotic achievements deludes and distracts your objective.
7- Game is too long and feels like overstaying, due the repetition.

Final Score: 7.0/10

Pros roller-coaster

The visual art is outworldly, it is the sophistication of all the great names from the past and the present on the darkest of the art-designs and whoever is the artists behind all that, were really inspired by the devil himself. Of course Giger's plagiarism may be around but nothing so blatant... except for the Charon train, and the beasts in the end somewhat. That was half way blatant.

Music/ambience is fine, it helps trigger the spiritual decline for each room, it isn't always that special but mostly fitting, specially after escaping the castle. The only immature music is the staff roll that doesn't fit the theme. Art isn't just static in there, its also a bit animated. Speaking of which, art seems to be a spawn out of Zebu's nightmare after a bad day on the Erebus. It isn't always striking but definitely disturbing. I wish I could pay someone to model embossed figures on my wall with one of those arts, so now you see how much I love it.

Dead where it should matter

But when it comes to the story itself and the dialog in-game, Tormentum falls flat. Insane characters speaks to you like a guy writing the script on his confy room, the lack of voice acting helps it to be even more noticeable. It seems you can have a good or bad ending or whatever, because there are some little choices to make, but it was so immature it broke the thing for me. Programming on that regard was just minimalist, unsatisfying, weird balancing to define what ending you deserve.

The story progress is so uninteresting I was only playing it to see the screens, not because I wanted to know what would happen. Plot isn't dark enough, there is nothing horrific and it barely motivates me. It's just another monolithic belief that labels ♥♥♥ or women as an force of descent or the actual cause of it. Two faces one coin, yadda yadda, whatever is it got nothing on me either way.

Find the thing that fits in that other thing, repeat

There are two types of puzzle category in this game and both are rather annoying. Puzzles are as easy to do as they are confusing, people tend to think that's what constitutes it to be. Very few of them on Tormentum are intuitive by their own. The first type is ''look for things and see if it fits'' and the second type is just a sequential unlocking method. Sometimes is a trial and error thing, sometimes its straight given away. Since Shadow Gates, it seems the cheapest of it has always to be ''play the hard music in the end'' kinda puzzle.

Somehow I think they went on the wrong direction, maybe the devs should have tried an RPG or something. You can't even die, you're only barricated behind annoyingly easy stuff each step of the way. You don't fear failure because there's none (only if you consider the ending). The game sole existence seems to be like a album stock.

Only two puzzles had some entertaining difficulty, that isn't saying much. The springs (a classic tower-like stacking) and a cheap TV memory game inside a cube. Many of such solutions are out of guess-how instead of anything else smart. With that said, when a puzzle is ''hard'' it is just because you're absolutely clueless given the condition, not because it is complex or well hidden. The old days of point-clicking games, Myst had some sort of refined exploration for hidden secrets. Well Tormentum wastes a lot of nice backgrounds that could have been encrypted to inspire you to work on puzzles, I only remember seeing two silly attempts. The train code and the musical instrument... Tormentum is filled with gorgeous, yet empty signs that mostly leads you to dumbness. The ones that "may" matter, are wrote down by the character himself so you can check on the book later...

*sigh*

Negative score explained

The overall is insufficient for me to review this positively BUT I would feel bad forever to just thumb this thing down, all due the artwork, music and imagery alone. I don't like that method of luring me to buy it though. The lack of neutral scores is another reason I can't thumb this up. I still wouldn't pay to have such a game (if that's even a game) I would rather pay for Tormentum's artwork alone without the game. You do get some bonus artwork in the end with hot dark girls that has nothing to do with the game. Unless you can have a discount or if the price on your country is low, I totally discourage you from buying it as for now.

Final score: 4/10.

Emojis, cards, backgrounds may encourage you better

What should be really motivating is the sets of backgrounds and every one of the emojis, if it wasn't for them prices, because they are beautiful as this one here. Some cards looks really good while others are mild, either way they are not cheap. Dollar and Euro countries may face no challenge buying them, but any other currency will need luck to grab one of those,

Due quarentine boredom I decided to give this one a go. I bought around 2018 when it got a major rework but I never had the opportunity to play it. Some annoying problems persists, none are really game breaking but it can annoy you to the core. Most content works anyway and it deserves attention.

What impresses me the most may not be relevant to you

The art and the story are never the main things that lures you to a multiplayer game, any game that has it should be praised as adventurous and risky for the developers, no wonder why it had a lot of trouble during its release, mainly with cheaters. The realism is impressive, the art direction is pretty. Graphics impresses me, sound FX is okay, story is pretty convincing and the story seems awfully realistic. As you're forced to walk on foot most of NY streets, you see a lot of what I'm saying. I've seen photographers taking pics from the windows, people asking for help or giving advice of where to go, body capture is decent, combat animation is satisfying...

Sometimes you even forget this is an RPG purely based on DPS, in that regard the game is aging pretty well on that is what I'm saying, charming for its category. There is a curious synth-driven music vibing like the 80s I'm not sure if its just an impression. It is particularly realistic during or 2020 pandemic, makes you think too much about people, how easy it is for them to break down and how fragile it really is. I like the cold snow NY setting better than The Division 2 so I stick more with it than the other one.

Sadly, they never did much variations for that. You can help civilians and they'll reward you, but it's just 2 dimensional. You can't interact much and your character is voiceless like most multiplayer. A lot of other things could have been added, like trying to convince/subdue low level enemies scavenging or something. No, you're just a 2D terminator and that's kinda dull for the setting.

Missions are hard and action packed in such a dynamic way, sometimes they're so epic it even reminds me of games like ME2, even Brandon Keener voice is on the game as ISAC. Missions are always aiming at the sense of urgency, sometimes surprising, it is awesome this way.

Is this another lone multiplayer?

I haven't found people to co-op with me until I reached level 8 in around 12/15 hours of gameplay, but when I finally did it was just awesome. The combat can be pretty damn hard even if your level matches the hostiles (more on that later) and having someone to flow it with you is fairly needed. Made some friends and soon we were creating strategies that the squad (4 max) agreed in cooperating, then we were experiencing the true The Division I heard about these years. Fun is quite endless when you see the result of your strategy at the best of everyone's abilities - sadly it won't last this way.

Do not get your hopes too high because the lasting community in the chat is always slow and dumb and I think I was kinda lucky. It may take you some time for someone to respond your pleas, to find viable individuals on the same situation than you, specially low level and willing to play along. If you find high level players you're doomed to suffer, you'd be thinking that it will be good for you but the enemies level are based on the highest on your team, killing your fun-factor.

You do well to hunt some noobs on Discord groups before embarking, if not, just go alone and take your shot. It is totally doable, for I still find myself going solo from time to time. You can interact and see others in social areas, but there is no way to interact with other players when you're free roaming - unless you go to DZ. Free roam should totally be up to the open world itself, but it isnt, Dark Zones attempts to do that but at the cost of PvP conflicts "rogue agents" I don't recommended in early game. So this way we could bump into each other more often and join the fight. You have a nice organized GUI (the easiest to use I have seen) but the chat is mostly filled with fools and spammers, blocking them does little help preventing it.

Edited: cheaters Still are present in the game for 5 years straight. It has gotten better but also hopeless to get clear of those. Matchmaking balance sucks too so its harder to find fun, I wouldn't even bother trying.

The grinding and the rewards can be punishing

The Division levels up very quickly - your weapons and gear gets outdated fast as a result, when you think you're hitting the spot, nah, it will be over soon. So you can't avoid constant upgrading through the repetition of missions. What you can possibly avoid however, is the Dark Zone, thankfully. DZ is either filled with cheaters or low/high levels, but you can always try to team up to discourage solo bullies. The loot will be random but persistence may actually be rewarding but it is HARD as fakk. Replaying missions on hard-mode is literally Dark Souls with guns meaning you will die a kabillion times no matter how good you perform.

My way to get through that from early levels was to just do side missions and encounters - mostly alone. Eventually, even enemies level 8 were beating me up which meant I was doing something wrong. You NEED the best to keep going, abilities ready and gear always a step ahead. That's no option, it is quite mandatory. You either fall your ass or get ready for a beating. Or worse. You can take like half an hour just to kill 4 hostiles.

On early game, weapons are mostly repetitive, armor barely resembles anything new because they just change the color most of the time when you swap it. Once I could reach level 30 then things started to get interesting. Not just visually, like hardcore tactical veterans like a Tom Clancy's driven blockbuster - even the music and the expansions seems to mutate when you reach 30+ end-game. The end game "ends" abruptly. The farming is not rewarding after score 280+ and you may abandon the game there.

Character creation sucks really hard, (its better on Division 2) just so you can buy something. It isn't expensive but that's not very fair if you have paid for the game already. Some stuff can drop in the world but they're of course extremely rare so don't expect that to happen much. You can gamble, but it isn't straight with money, there is a intermediary called ''encrypted keys'' or random vanity items (no kidding, that's how its called) just to make it look less blatant. No wonder why looter shooter is failing world-wide.

The combat

A.I. is smart no matter the approach. Sometimes intrusive, sometimes dumb, aggressive, intelligent, suicidal, you name it, they're doing it. Some random criminal can be slow and rage driven, but they don't sound nor move the same when you're fighting militia and terrorists. Sometimes they're so good at fighting, your best strategy just won't work and you need to go Rambo like they often do. This is arguably, the hardest gun firing games I have ever played, sometimes it is downright unfair and why not, even a little cheap-stupid.

Moving around looks realistic but sometimes it is just incredibly stupid. I saw countless times vanishing cover commands not showing up, nor to climb, because that particular place looked like you could cover but the system or the codes were missing there. That's incredible stupid and I just don't like the clunky controls sometimes, it gets on my damn nerves. It is beyond belief the devs never fixed it.

Final Score: 7/10

Ulasan Akses Dini
The simulation was a bit more complex than I anticipated, of course it would probably have some details but I wasn't really expecting to see general relativity showing up at the left of the accretion disk this gorgeously. After waiting for a minute or two without feeding the gates of hell, the event horizon got empty blank and the radio noise obviously stopped. All that just to start glowing back again <very faintly> a couple seconds later.

So, the simulation could have a simple on-screen log event (it could be optional), it would even help if someone is using the application to explain how a black hole works. I know people can just go to Youtube but why, if there is a beautiful simulation spinning for you at will?

I would like to suggest the developer to add black hole burps (when x-rays produced by millions degree gases and unholy pressures outflows), the possibility to include more planets and stars at the same time and we should be able to slow down the simulation to see it. All that of course in any given time through the year, since this is a early access.

Adding higher resolution background is imperative, no tweak I did managed to fix that so I better leave it be for now. It is also very important to add more electromagnetic sounds and why not in a near future, another black hole to impact one another.

There is a bug that happened just twice but broke the simulation and gave me a CTD, when trying to add a planet and a star at the same time <I'm not sure exactly if that was the intention.> Rise the price of the simulator.

Final Score: 7.5/10

Why you should consider having it

You don't play like the villain in games much. You don't play like anything else much, besides a brow haired male saving the day on every single game and when it isn't a white guy then it must be some hot ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ girl, cool and all but we don't have real expanded diversity on plot or whatever in that regard, not even with triple As games.

So for once in a while, you can do things differently. Indie games got that, so don't underestimate the fact that this is a pixelated game, it is packed with fun. That's Metroidvania, for the exploration and power-ups you must find, but action packs things. Looks like simple graphics but they were given real love so it is amusing and immersive everywhere you go. This time the humans are the threat, just like in the real world, as you ravage through the underground corridors, killing, webbing, chewing, melting, crushing, drowing, every single puny homosapien and bots that were stupid enough to work on some hideous underground lab. Sometimes you even gotta force-remove some dumbass from a mecha, like a power loader kind of. Classic. Alien would even cry watching this one, revenge for a change.

Destruction would fade quickly if it wasn't for the story

Ancient side-scrolling games such as "Rampage - World Tour" used to let you play the monster. 15 minutes after ravaging an entire city while listening heavy to metal and the rest of the game was just repetitive, boring and annoying, games you're the enemy used to ♥♥♥♥ balls and fade pretty quickly.

I won't spoil anything, but I can say this isn't the case with Carrion, you will have some interesting rest from the monster you are - not to mention when you gotta stop killing and think - or when you must kill but not eat - these things are renewing the game each passing minute just to tell the secrets of the story and keeping it interesting enough, genious motherfaykr them devs are. Nearing death in most games is a game-over prediction, but here it can be a strategy, because you'd be at the size of a basketball - faster and harder to spot. When your mutated baby grows, then it's Rathtar time, corridor-squeezing and unleashing hell everywhere. The combat with complex enemies is something I don't remember seeing before in a sidescrolling game (as we're used to playing as humans) it is awesome, smart, and the difficulty depends on the best combination of when and how you use your brains and instinct, separately or at the same time. It is really fun.

https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2181595009

Cons? Where?
  • Best pro = attention to small details.

  • Artificial Intelligence behaves like two-dimensional pixelated people - no xith - just as expected, but they often react like the dumb dummies from horror movies - which is great. If you have seen all those movies you know these people can't be trusted, not even when they seem to be dead to you. A.I. falls short though, but I think it was on purpose. I would still like to hear real English saying things such as ''run'' but this is kinda of a ''mute'' game like times of old. You only hear the screams and crying of fear and pain. It is a good and bad thing at the same time, perhaps a waste of opportunity to increase plot but that wasn't the devs intention and I get it.

  • It isn't really a joystick game, that's mouse pointing for you - it will do it better so why would this thing have control support? You gotta remember, the more agile you are with the eventual powers you find, the more beautiful death will be, just like in the movies, creating incredible fun moments of horror.

It all got nice drawings I like, that art should definitely be in-game. But cutscenes with it would break the immersion of ``you are the monster`` so that`s fine, you can even turn off hud. Trading isn't expensive at this time of review a week later after the release date, meaning you can level that ass quickly. I haven't found any backgrounds for Carrion, A WASTE of opportunity, at least I haven't found these so, sorry but I can't review what I can't see.

They gave it for free for ''five'' days, but not without reason

The first thing I want to happen when I click ''play game'' is to have access to that game ASAP so I can play it. But with Street Fighter 5 I had to read many dumb useless crap about on-line boring stuff. I even had a warning about privacy. For some reason Capcom wants to know where I live, wants to do telemetry of how I play, when I play, what crap I have downloaded to that game and OS, system... what the fakk? I don't think I ever had to sign so much crap not even for on-line only games. To hell with that.

I decided to leave it be on off-line mode just like the old times. If I want to go on a on-line match then I can just go there and click ''on-line match'', but it wasn't possible to do so during my testing because I clicked ''I don't agree with the terms''. Probably has a way to undo it, but I'm really not in the mood at the moment.

SO I FINALLY WENT TO PLAY THE THING

When I finally managed to play this thing, sexism was everywhere. They complain of toxic fighting community, but how they wouldn't be? Even girls are toxic to other girls like Leah "GIlty" incident[www.outsports.com] and so many other types, but what the fakk do you expect? This sheat isn't normal, and there is a reason why even me despise it.

Oh yeah, I'm a ♥♥♥ demon too and everyone knows it, they even avoid me. I love it too. But when it is overused it is rather ridiculous, cringey, weird, creepy. Every woman fighter depicted on the game is a harlot. Not just the ones that matches, like Jury, but even Cammy (that used to be a cute one despise the attractiveness) There is not a single girl on that thing that just walks, speaks, poses or fights normally - or there's to say, like a martial artist goddess, no. They're all beaches, they're all courtesans. They all talk like they just had some nice casual pheromone exchange. They're just there to show ♥♥♥. It is funny at best, instead of ♥♥♥♥. Obviously, it is a cheap strategy magnet to attract virgin dummies to play it. I heard they even had to rework Cammy's victory camera angle (to hide some parts). I'm not kidding, go google it. Even Capcom had to rethink.

UNDERSTAND THEY DO THIS DUE THE LACK OF QUALITY

Story was legendary with the Alpha series. It still had some of its soul over Street Fighter IV and others down the series that were much better at that. I didn't like how it is treated now, and I repeat, it is all due ♥♥♥. I admit it has always been about it in a way, but it was cute ♥♥♥♥ rather than super ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Put too much of it and that special ♥♥♥ appeal will be overused and the good fun will be gone. Street Fighter used to have other sorts of qualities embedded. Long gone, who cares? Character design It is kinda muscley cartoonish, cool and all, but it comes at the cost of exaggeration. I can barely recognize some of the characters anymore. Cammy's case is definitelly the worst, looks severe.

Tried some Cammy with Alpha's costume, but I forgot the game demands lots of DLC or something. Went to the store to see it. It is filled with DLCs everywhere for everything. Like all other fighting games, this is no longer a game but a money grabber. They arranged the packages well at least, so you don't trip too much, and the prices are much lower nowadays - still a whole fakking pack that is quite discouraging and shows what you have been falling victim to.

There is nothing new in fighting you haven't seen in SFIV and down

Want a good fighting game? I recommend Injustice 2 or even Street Fighter IV. The anime running in there is much more satisfying to see too. I didn't like SFV and I'm not wasting my time with it.

Final Score: 5/10

Better than Colonial Marines (if that's even a threshold)
So maybe I should say, Better than A:CM but not better than classic AvP, there you go. My mood starts right on. I had a Win10 compatibility issue, had to reinstall it twice. I don't remember seeing any hype for it back 2010, I didn't know this game even existed until someone gifted it to me. In contrast with A:CM where my hatred got it instantly refunded given the circunstances. Go ahead. You can have Alien vs Predator, there is a quick fun content, this game is a pretty decent FPS better than many games with "Alien'' name on it recently.

This is how low we have gotten into. This game is good because the others are mostly bad. Alien Isolation still is the best of them, more maturity, more Ridley Scott fidelity, but the Smartphone sequel Aliens: Blackout was extremely awful and that undermined everything Isolation has achieved. So it seems to me Aliens are destined to oblivion even when something is done right, specially on PC. This isn't better than the good old classic Alien versus Predator as I remember, it had more substance.

Very complex and detailed and vast
3 races to choose, each one essentialy acts as ''meanwhile'' to each other. End of complexity.

The good is bad, all the bad is bad, it is so bad it's good
This is a remake, reboot, whatever. Stop calling it AvP3 because you're not going to find relief for ancient sequels you barely remember. Beware mindless husk fans trying to overrate this sheat. Don't expect continuity or resolve, this game is just a simple action packed unit.

As if John Carpenter managed to direct an Alien movie, consider this as an honest nasty b-movie, it's just trash food. But it tastes good. Ends very fast and this is why you keep eating it. Good and bad lives in harmony, spawning a goobad game for you to play.

Example number one; Dialogue is mediocre, but action has nice flow and feels fun you can even choose the difficulty before you go. I only had 2 jump scares. This is mostly action.

Número dois; Plot is so classic and obvious it is nearly non-existent. Death isn't spoiler because it is constant, obvious and predictable, but the music is awesome and even atmospheric at times specially on Yautja ruins and ancient temples.

A number three; you could care less about anybody or anything. Not even Tequila. Maybe if you try really hard but I'm not sure it will work (it looks like they didn't even bother with writing) but animation has nice restrains and never attempts to do what it can't do, being mainly first person during short events. A problem though. You see loads of bad programming, like if you're holding a shotgun with a marine, sometimes animation triggers you a rifle. I cracked in laughter when I saw my marine from outside. I mean no disrespect but I thought he was a white man, because I could see his arms white.

A number three with extra dip; Artificial Intelligence varies between cockroach brilliancy to Einstein stupidity. Bad when NPCS behaving idiotic as easy preys. Good when fighting bosses like Elite Predators on a wide area. Why they didn't do more arena boss fights, if that's what the game got better, is an laughable enigma. The Alien gameplay is way too short but intense. Predator's is very different from Marine's.

Watabout graphics, sound, controls?
Graphics Sky box saves most of it. If your engine has too many limitations, work within those limitations and surprise us. That's good. Call that dude that knows how to work around C++ and work with Sega crappy leftovers, pay the man and he'll probably make it count. I don't even know which engine was used but it was probably Asura.[www.pcgamingwiki.com]. I'm not saying that was the case, but it is probably what happened. Try to make something nasty looking great, or worse than that, do something ugly; That's bad. Alien vs Predator does not try to do that.

Compatibility warning You can even choose to run with Direct X 9 if you're low on video or crashing to the desktop too frequently. If CTD persists, you will probably have to reinstall this crap within compatibility mode, Win7 or 8 if you got Win10.

Sound is a rollercoaster of feelings. Predator classic rythm and some strange left-size object on his vision has been completed removed, you only hear the hearth beating. That's really bad. Pulse Rifle has its original sounds, but I don't know if that's always good, sounds way too simple. But when you pop a grenade, the oldschool Aliens kicks in so I assume this is good. Alien hiss is satisfying. Predator's all original. So you got these stuff where they should be for better or for worse.

When you play as a marine you always find recordings of the crew. Achievements are so easy they're stupid, a nuisance you'll just ignore. You're not forced to find them but when you do, you usually have to wait on the menu so it ends, or go play hearing the audio, while Tequila is talking on the com-chat at the same freaking god dmannbdsdshh time. Just wait for the gigantic notification to disappear from the screen. If there is a pause button for that I'm 100% unaware of it.

Controls could have been a much better experience than that, we got plenty of keys on the keyboard but you have to always limit stuff for the damn consoles. It gets confusing more frequently with the Alien, specially because transitional moves, floor to wall to ceiling, aren't very smooth at all. But you can fix a lil bit of it on the menus by swapping idiotic keys to more confortable classic keys.

Nothing else to report, point out or to complain really. If the price is acting for you, go find some discount.

Cards, emojis, backgrounds
Nope. No aliens nor predators will be hanging on your profile. No Aliens eggs will be served on your chat. No brighty Predator triple targets. Not AvP nor any other game from the universe.

I don't know if someone at Sega or Century Fox got low self-steem, so I won't do any compliments about it because it will be very sarcastic, therefore, very rude.

This is how you fakkking do it!
Forget about all these slow sequences from the other games, hell is unleashed at the very first minute after clicking start, and you will be firing big guns and slashing cyber katanas as fast as you can say Bubblegum crisis. Combat is fast, firing is fast, everything is fast but sometimes it is just total hardcore and then when the power metal and epic orchestra are saturating your senses, the pace stops. Good thing, so you can rest your mind from all the fighting so it can taste good again soon enough. Usually you must walk around a bit and even puzzle your way down, while some epic choir paves the way like a blockbuster movie as you unveil pieces of some ancient mysteries. Sometimes walking is a bit too much but that's just me wanting more and more action.

Next room, repeat. You don't get it? It's a total legal addictive opioid with chances of causing vertigo.

Information before review
Bright Memory was mainly created by Xiancheng and his private studios after crowdfunding it, good sales made the project go further to a total reboot called Bright Memory: Infinite. It is important to spread the news of the awesomeness I've found on this ''demo'' directly to you so you can rip from future benefits and help us and it is also my intention to show to Xiancheng how I think this is looking super awesome and how I believe he can keep on that track. But I fear it may deviate too much.

I was tired of triple A games asking for my credit card just for new poop to download and I needed some time alone with lesser games. I got disappointed very often even this way, because every indie game I tried was copying someone else ideas or they were just pathetic.

Now I find this one Bright Memory on the making, and my fellow sinner, you better be paying attention because I'm impressed and this is very unusual.

How it is now and where it is probably going to
Plot has substance so far but I fear it will lose some of it for the sake of "style". Sometimes secret passages gives you hints of what's going on, I think its ancient aliens and/or evil dead civilizations and such and that's cool. Though I haven't seen many games were the baddies are really a bunch of despicable pieces of human waste, I just hate the main villain as I keep chasing him, so it means the plot works enough. It is on the bootleg side, but that's tradition for these types. I guess Doom did that right recently. But what pumps you on Doom is to know you're supposed to be the angry guy, so nothing else matters. So how do you get pumped with Bright Memory? The answer equals to that feeling of urgency and pace.

What is happening to the main character?
Shelia is the bearer of that cyber armor powerhouse but her personality is boring (way too cute and polite) and doesn't fit all that. So I agree Shelia character design needs a rework. The problem now, she's leaving that ''Lara Croft'' looks and that is great. But as you can see here Bright Memory: Infinite[forums.unrealengine.com] she is going where I was fearing and that's worrisome. I'm not sure if that was what the developer was aiming at, but this is why companies avoid contacting fans too much let's say.

Shelia is going to the juvenile and overplayed world of collegial anime heroes and Sailor Moon or Sucker Punch stuff, like every other similar product from the past 30 years combined. Instead of giving her more personality maybe around the mature fidelity the demo has, she will just be looking like another overused teen stereotype with pig tails - when Bright Memory is actually a very original piece, and now this?

As long the game keeps going frenzy since I'm in for the hardcore and vicious battles.

Graphics looks good
I like how graphics don't need big companies to look nice. But Unreal Engine 4 means sheat if you don't have creativity and knowledge, how to program it and how to properly connect every resource on the right way. If you don't know how to work with it you should mess with it first and study it, not just trial and error like most indie does. Fortunately for you, FYQD did all that and with extra material I call ''talent''. It is a rare magical element only possible to acquire at birth. Legend says those who possess talent are constantly bullied before they are accepted on this dumbo world. No need for false modesty here, the guy developed this on his "spare time". That's impressive.

Skills are promising fun
As you progress, experience points drops can be collected and it is possible and even optional to upgrade them (with little to no context) but the idea is to become a cyber goddess with the ultimate abilities. In the old days games like these were usually a total failure like Daikatana was. I feel a lot of arcadey hack and slash here but don't be fooled, it is a hybrid FPS trying to look different and I totally recommend you to go experience it. Don't expect the rifle to be the main point here, it is how you combo these skills that you're supposed to use.

A message from a progressive
Some people are annoyed because the game's spoken language is Chinese. If you're one of them you should move to Mars. In a couple decades, maybe not even Mars will hold you and we will have to slur you somewhere else. Not every company or developer is North American or European, that's obvious. And not everyone got the money to fill the list with multiple voice actors like Ubisoft does. It is actually pretty fashion to play it and hear some different language and different everything like I did with Metro Last Light (although they had Eng voice there). I don't even believe I have to explain that to possible dummies. You got the subtitles anyway, so I don't get your problem.

If you got that problem ain't my problem, so deal with it.

A word to the developer
The game needs more of what you see on the first 10 minutes and I recommend less explorations. I agree you can have both as demonstrated by Doom 2016 (and by your own game) but that can be the core of the level you're in, thus optional - not necessarily the spaces in-between fights and paths. Don't bother with complaints about how the enemies keeps coming towards you, the enemies are very aggressive and this is exactly what a real FPS needs. On my opinion you're on the right track, keep the action as vicious as possible, keep going hardcore, add Sheila some personality and less schizophrenia (because she talks to herself too much) and you will be on the list for another legendary FPS soon enough.

Backgrounds, emoticons e cards
None so far. When it is time I make sure to report it with a new review once the full game is released or another part of it. I would love to see vivid looking cards like the game is and emoticons with enough shining varieties.

Updated: Implants, outfits, version and endings

If you've read this review before and rated it, I'm sorry but I had to re-post it to rectify things.

It looks like I was mistaken earlier abou mission updates and the game is currently only sold as ''Enhanced version'' so this reviews is totally up-to-date. Also I didn't know we could download 3 outfits DLC for free - it triggers a quest right to the Industrial Zone area. This isn't informed too well because it is quest finding. Last but not least important are the ''consequences'' for quests and implants, the replay factor I previously told you never included the body augmentations. The impact it can have on the game are really cool. Endings aren't so satisfying as the game but consequences are indeed there. So let my redemption come.

I'm damn impressed part II

  • You're immediately greeted with a nice soundtrack. You don't just need futuristic beeps, but also variety of songs. Personality is needed and Dex totally got one.

Around downtown area, music suddenly got too damn high. Tweaking it on options made all the other music sounds too low. All these years and they never fixed the balance on it.

  • I love the main character bad-@ssery. You don't see female to cyborg everyday. As I mentioned before, click on this link[dex-rpg.fandom.com] for more details about the DIY quest DLC and outfits.

  • Art. Cut-scenes are half animated but I like the artist style, simple but very efficient. Everything on the game looks like a deviant drawing with serious charm.

Sometimes simplicity falls flat. Sometimes it looks like mode 7 and It is annoying when you can't see where you can walk, died several times because of unclear platforms. Maybe because of repetitive colors and contrasts. I even had a bug when jumping where I was supposed to climb. Dex never gets drunk with Beer you find so it wasn't that.

  • It is a side scrolling, how not to love that? Luckily they didn't make it a 360º RPG, we got plenty of those on Steam already. Give me there classic fun.

Why you can't grab NPCs pistols after taking them down with melee at the first hour of the game? But hey, you can totally grab their condoms and ♥♥♥♥ magazines. You're not going to use none of those things so that move wasn't exactly smart.

  • Controls are responsive (check the cons though) combat is hella fun and points dependent. Stealth takedowns can work if you truly are a creative cyber ninja.

  • Difficulty can, and will pose a challenge! Not just on melee and gun combat but also with the investigation and conversation. A mere exploration will require sacrifices not obvious at first. If you're not careful, side-quests will kick your azz to stagnation.

"Adapt or Perish'' side-quest is the first example you get. You just can't rely on mission logs, you gotta remember character's names and places so you know where to go.

  • The implants you can have and the variety of body augmentations are parallel only to the level up system.

Experience points are hard to come by (the trait of good RPGs) so you may spend them the way you will really need. Abuse that, things will get ugly fast. The implants to Dex's body are different because they're based on slots and prices instead. The re-play factor if you combine these two things can give Dex a decent shelf-live for a indie game. I could have gone totally no-brainer cyber-tank with guns but I didn't, since I'm a natural talkative ninja.

  • When it is time to hack, unlike most games, there are no classic puzzles.

AR or enviromental hacking is like a space-shooter mini-game that requires arcadey abilities and creativity - like stunning enemies implants and attacking them physically. Terminal hacking is different, more like the old "Shadowrun" game did once but without the damn Mining Sweeper. Hacking can get really vicious and that's why it is fun.

  • I disagree this is a Metroidvania with RPG elements. That's actually a side-scrolling action RPG like in times of old. "Ys III" or even "Demon's Crest".

  • Comedy relief is truly funny when its around, not forced cold like "Ghost 1.0'' did. It will also have portions of violence, ♥♥♥, alcohol and drugs, everything a dystopia needs.

  • The CyberNoire feel and immersion is what really shines here, not limited to just music but also sound effects and minor light effects. Abandoned places and underground corridors does a lot of that to immersion.

Multiple endings are short and vague and consequences aren't really well delivered. The plot is just there hanging on the average without anything new. There are some of the classic ''Flashback'' in there, but that game was probably inspired by Total Recall anyway so that's tradition not plagiarism. At least the variety is cool. You're either becoming: A) vigilante with the DLC outift with a Batcave and everything or B) an awesome cyborg of the people or a total betrayer. C) Skynet can be your destiny too, just so you know you can go there.

I love you, but we gotta talk about our relationship

I'm forced to mention several problems I've found on Dex (even before gaming) some of which are related to the pile of awesomeness up above, so yeah I'm not breaking with Dex. It requires a lot of abusive behavior from fake red-heads to really brake my tolerance and Dex's hair is blue.

Nobody is perfect (minus 1)

  • Objective does update when you... update it... it was just a rare hud bug that made me think it didn't. Maybe I was drunk and I'm lying to look less guilty. You'll never know.

  • In-game dialogue sometimes has too much talking for uninteresting things. Some voice acting are awesome, like Decker, Dex and Raycast but some side characters are so annoying and overplayed (Lorraine) you'll be skipping them.

  • The control cons I've mentioned? I heard complaints about controller compatibility. I have no idea what Steam Redistributables meant when it popped on screen after the game's installation. I just didn't like the method by prompting. I ended up playing with keyboard and mouse but there are some bugs with it too, like when you can't scroll the inventory list down.

Just remember to assign a different key to the inventory menu. Parrying with ''Q'' sometimes ends up with you halting all the action by pressing the ''tab'' key instead. Now that's pretty noobish.

Dex is a relaxing yet tough Cyberpunk with a lot of Noire on it, it deserves more attention for the sake of indie development. Once again, if you survived that big wall of text, thank you for reading!

Emoticons, cards and backgrounds

Cards are just as ugly as backgrounds, but they're really cheap. 08/12/19

A lot of opportunities have been wasted, no viruses for my collection of hacked emojis. The only rare background which I like is ''Domination'', but I'm not sure if this is Dex herself ''Harness'' or an uglier effortless version of her.

At least when I'm hungry I can spam the noodles so my friends knows its dinner time, or a box of pills when they complain of neck and back pain. Again, Dex isn't this ugly like that so I have no clue why all that is so bad. Hey, at least them devs keeps updating the game for new languages, that's some dedication right there.
