Masterpiece. Sekiro is a game well deserving of its GOTY status and is a must-play for anyone who enjoys the action adventure genre or just games in general. Put this on your wishlist if you havent already! :^) 10/10

>Fast-flowing, precise combat which makes the gameplay feel rewarding and enjoyable in all scenarios. Really makes you feel like a Shinobi with the deflect and posture mechanics. Additionally the incorporation of the prosthetic weaponry widens your arsenal of ways to approach each encounter in the game, and means that each playthrough can be done in unique ways depending on how you adapt to situations with these tools.

>An Intricate and intriguing story that relies on your willingness to involve yourself in discovering the underlying tales of the characters and areas, not as shrouded in mystery as the souls series in my opinion but as (if not more) thrilling.

>The characters which you meet themselves all receive fantastic development and many have their own individual plotlines which the player can uncover, adding alot of depth to them. Furthermore the voice acting in the game is very well done and never once ruined any immersion from the character they were trying to play. This is from my experience of playing the game in both English and Japanese (with subtitles).

>Design of bosses and enemies is something which FromSoft have always delivered on in past titles and Sekiro is no exception. All of the bosses within this game were a marvel to fight. From the mechanics to the arenas in which you fight them, the game creates a sense of awe for each big fight and delivers perfectly on FromSoft's brutal but fair difficulty which makes every encounter exciting and immensely rewarding to overcome. The mini-bosses which can be found throughout the world also make for exhilarating fights and are on the whole a great addition however there are a couple which do seem rather unfair and more of a challenge of your patience than skill, such as the gank fight towards the end of the game which really did test me and my will to not skip it.

>The setting of Ashina, a Sengoku era japan is truly captivating and beautiful, both graphically and just design wise. Not once did i see an area as being boring or annoying. Moreover, the layout is further vertically enhanced by the addition of the prosthetic arm's grappling hook feature which allows for more complex pathfinding on how you tackle any area or encounter.
