As it stands, this game is only the framework for a tactical shooter with great potential. If you want a sandbox to practice alone or with friends against an approximate group of enemy threats, it's great.
With all items unlocked, AI enemies unvaried (and not really a threat once you learn the quirks) and no story or progression to be felt, it's quite a hollow experience at the moment. However, the realistic gunplay and advanced gear customisation show this could be something special one day.

A solid survival strategy with a rogue-like feel, with the combat missions feeling like a light version of Company of Heroes.
The train feels limiting at first but carefully managing your resources and having constant pressure to move in one direction - wherever the tracks take you - is somewhat the point!
It's truly great to learn about the more hidden corners of history through a genuinely rich and engaging experience.

If you liked Warband, you'll like this.
It's still being refined day by day by the devs, so expect some strange performance bugs and your favourite money-making schemes being nerfed overnight, but the core game is there - assuming you don't want to finish the main (optional) story.

The fight ended 3 minutes ago, the applause and cheers died down over two minutes ago, but you're still beating the corpse of that final enemy and ripping off his head with your bare hands.

Played this to death as a kid. Still get nostalgic returning to it, and definitely worth a punt, but much harder than I remember.

Negatives: Very short, requires a lot of room space - but wastes a lot of it, and kept getting confused between my Right and Left hand when using two controllers (only needs one).

Positives: Almost get crushed by the Millennium Falcon, immersive lightsabres, R2-D2 stands next to you.

Good fun for free, so no real complaints. Exceptional for a first VR experience if you're a Star Wars fan, but if you're already knee-deep into VR it's not too impressive.

Some absolutely amazing and intriguing ideas in this game, which make it a lot more interesting and strategic than most multiplayer FPSs out there. However, the execution is not great at this stage in Early Access and the voice acting definitely needs a re-record before release (it sounds like they paid someone down the pub to come and talk into a microphone).

If the shooting, controls and graphics get tightened up, and the combat gets made more immersive, I'll definitely be coming back to alter this review.

Excellent Survival Horror game with Crafting and Exploring elements.

It's come a long way over the last two years, and it's still evolving.

A slow start to development, but a fun game to jump on and kill 30 minutes. Especially at its new ridiculously low price tag.

Start scattered across a wasteland, unarmed and hungry with up to 41 other players. Then it's a mad Battle Royale-style rush for guns and supplies in a 'Last Man Standing' firefight to the death in a shrinking arena.

Makes a few graphical and gameplay changes that are very welcome and brings the setting to somewhere more grounded in reality. An improvement on the base game and an improvement on the Mod but only worth the investment if you're a Mount & Blade fanatic as those who aren't familiar with every nuance will just see "more of the same".
