So, in my opinion, this game in general has a very good story. That is all I enjoyed.
There are too many issues with the "remastered" version. I experienced some bugs with mouths not moving. And then the characters will be talking and then suddenly the audio is gone, although it doesn't happen as frequently as it could I suppose. But the subtitles disappear A LOT. This makes the game inaccessible for Deaf people as well as those who rely on subtitles in games. Or if someone needs the audio, well, I guess you will have to hope that it doesn't break or you'll be out of luck.

Buy the original version of Before The Storm. I haven't played it yet, but I imagine it doesn't have these issues. Get this one on sale if anything, but even still, not worth it. I bought it on sale lol

Love this game so much! Enjoyed the story and definitely got scared, 10/10. Definitely deserves to win a Steam award!!

I've seen a few people get upset that there's a DLC, but honestly... I don't see a problem with it? This game was actually great. Like they put time and energy into making it. I've played several hidden object ones, including other frees ones, and this one actually functions perfectly... Other games struggled to register when you click on a cat or whatever hidden object themed game I was doing. So I'm pleased about that part especially. My biggest complaint would be one of the final levels because it was a bit difficult to locate rings due to how small they were, which is one of the only times I heavily relied on the hint system. Otherwise, I loved it! The love story was very cute :)

I am very obsessed with cat games, especially hidden object cat games. This game was actually really good too. I like that it told a simple story while giving me cats and other various objects to find. It was really fun for me to play and decompress with. I definitely recommend it, especially because the first half is free! I liked it enough to grab the DLC so I could play the rest of it. :)

Game is a bit buggy and strangely laggy, a bit hard for me to enjoy especially when I've barely started it. Reloaded the game more than once because of this. No idea if the story is good or not. I'll probably try to come back to it one day and adjust this review accordingly, but I don't have the patience for this right now :')

This game is actually very amusing! I also think it has a good message at the end haha, although totally wait until it's on a sale. It's pretty short and there's little replayability with it tbh, unless you want achievements.

I have mixed feelings with this game.

Admittedly, I thought it was really boring at first. The first chapter really didn't hold my interest all that much. It got more interesting as it went along though. Halfway through the game is when I think I got more hooked, if that's even the right word. It grew more mysterious and had some interesting imagery/symbolism. I wasn't really understanding what story the game was trying to tell at first, but I started to at least connect the dots that it was a sad one. The emotions that the dialogue and the music invoked were unexpected, but it's not a bad thing.

One thing I initially hated about this game was the speed. You are so slow. So many times I wished there was a sprint option. But as I went on, I began to realize it served a purpose for the story. While I'm personally still not a fan of how slow it was, I can also recognize why they chose to do that. You're supposed to explore the world around you while you learn the story.

It felt lonely at times, very eerie and quiet too, but this is something I think was also very intentional. The reason why I say this is because this game is actually pretty sad. Just FYI, in case anyone is sensitive to certain topics: The protagonist appeared to be having some mental health issues that weren't quite as obvious to me until I later connected the dots. The ending might be disturbing for some people because the game ends with the protagonist jumping... I don't think I need to describe more than that.

I personally don't think this game was for me all that much, but I did also end up enjoying it more than I would have thought by the time I got to the end. The graphics are gorgeous as well, and I found the sound design to be very immersive. I really loved the music too. I recommend it if you need something calm and nice to look at, although there's not much replayability unless you want to get all the achievements. For that reason, maybe wait to grab it on a sale if you're interested.

Game has some bugs and has acted funky. It has struggled to recognize my clicks when I was clicking on a cat?? I had to click multiple times before it even recognized I clicked on it. It's very strange. I'm very disappointed because I love hidden object games, especially cat ones. If you just want a quick free game to play, then go for it. I'm not sure that it's worth paying for the dlc, though. I'm sure it likely has it's own issues for all I know.

BTW:
If anyone is having trouble with the achievement for finding 100 cats, I could only get it in timed mode for some reason. Maybe this will be changed eventually, but (as of Dec. 4th) that was the only way the achievement would pop for me. :/
