I know, I know "person with hundreds of (UPDATE: nearly 1000) hours in the game doesn't recommend game," but I don't recommend it, really. The controls in this game, be they controller or kb/m, are an absolute disaster. This is largely due to the character controller you're saddled (hee-ho, pun intended) with being less a character controller and more an AI state machine that guides Arthur's general direction. This has its benefits, like some utterly fantastic procedural animation effects and transitions between walking, running, climbing, falling, etc., but that's really where things end.

Often, if there's certain obstructions in your path, holding forward will lock Arthur into walking in circles until you stop walking, change the camera direction just slightly, and start walking again. Because of how so many context sensitive actions there are, sometimes the same button can have multiple effects, which can lead to you accidentally tackling somebody in the street, or shooting them, or threatening them when you meant to do something else. Other times, the context commands require mashed inputs that may be different depending on each command when a simple confirm button option would do better.

That said, it's real purdy
