Great game, fun concept, the gameplay is fun but a bit clunky. Would recommend this any day, BUT.
The biggest issue with this game, as has been since release are the god awful ♥♥♥♥ servers, they are STILL bad, disconnects and choppy lag spikes even with 20ms ping. Can't seriously recommend this to anyone that wants to play even semi-serious. Will see if this change in another 4 years or if they keep being cheap, even with the hundreds of overpriced microtransactions....

Now I remember why I quit this game back on release. The stunlock meta combos are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horrendous.

Been playing on Origin since first release, but beware! Make sure you connect the correct Origin account when first starting the game, I linked the wrong account and EA is really imcompetent and won't unlink my Steam account so i'm stuck with a completely new account when playing through Steam.

I'll keep it short, it's fu*king amazing and it's worth every dollar, buy it.

In short, the game is at the time of the review 11.99 euros and it's worth it the price if you want a good 10-15 hours or so of gameplay.

PROS:
+ Fun and interesting maps, enemies and weapons
+ Decent variation in items and powerups
+ A lot of different possible builds and combinations
+ Each playthrough is different than the last in some sense
+ Challenging to beat
+ Good control scheme, feels nice to play with KB+M

CONS:
- Gets a bit repetative, could use more enemy and level variations
- Needs more content added to it more often to keep it fresh

In it's current state I would not recommend the game if you plan to play more than a few hours. It's newly launched as of this review so the servers have a lot of disconnects and lag issues and it might improve from here on but:

PROS:
+ Fun concept and it's quite fun for the first times on each map for a couple hours
+ Relatively cheap once they add a bit more map variation and fix unbalancing issues
+ A lot of potential for fun costumes and all currencies can be earned by just playing the game
+ Solo maps are well-made and fun to play but could be a bit longer

CONS:
- The map quantity is a quite low and you'll end up playing some maps every match and you'll end up hating some of them (team games)
- Team maps are picked even if there's an odd number of players meaning unfair matches, if you're unlucky there's nothing you can do to qualify
- A lot of (unfair) randomness (odd teams, position in starting lines, etc), especially bad in some final maps where starting position could mean everything
- Needs more variation in final match maps
- Get pretty repetative after a couple hours
- Tip Toe is absolutely horrible map and comes up quite often, it's complete RNG and just depends on who gets pushed and sacrificed to show the path

Once the server issues are fixed, more maps are added for further map variation and unfair team matches gets fixed I would recommend the game, but not in its current state. If you want to try it, buy it and hope these things gets fixed soon.

Do not buy this game for at least a month unless you want to deal with OP p2w killers that will just make your time playing this game frustrating and boring. Definitely killed it for me and I will not be returning to this game like I would before the DLC.
