It's a short fun game with cool atmosphere that reminds me of the more chill parts of Undertale with the dark undertones of Little Inferno. The style is beautiful and the characters are endearing, each of them with their own quirks and way of speaking. Although, the interactions for each character are somewhat limited. Each puzzle unlocks another in a very linear way, and almost every interaction with the characters is in service of a puzzle, which is somewhat disappointing due to how likable they are. I really wanted to talk to them more. Overall I'd definitely recommend it for a fun afternoon, and I look forward to what these devs make next!

Super fun shooter with a some really great maps with a lot of verticality that even without the portal mechanics make it feel special. With the addition of the portal gun however, the game almost levels the playing field between puzzle gamers and FPS gamers, and while I usually don't do too well in regular shooters, I've had a blast playing with and against FPS gamers in Splitgate by just utilizing the movement and portals to my advantage.

Great production quality and style, but the ending really made the experience feel wasted. Overall I'd say it was a fun experience, but the story never built to anything and made my effort feel unrewarded. I look forward to these developers making something with a bit more thought put into it.

Caution, spoilers ahead.

The the level of polish put into this game's visuals and mechanics is commendable if not award worthy. The mechanics are incredibly well thought out, and the challenges presented by some of it's puzzles make you feel like a genius when you complete them. There is a particular stage where you have to decipher morse code, and you're on the clock, and it's the most suspense I've felt in a game in a long time. That being said, for a game that relies heavily on story, so much so as to have "stories" in it's name, the story did not live up to it's mechanics. What started as a fun sci-fi horror adventure, became a hollow drama with zero originality.

I loved every single moment of this game... and then the ending came. The game did all this work to create an incredibly interesting series of stories, and have me invested in how they could connect. I was so excited to see how they would tie all these stories together into one. It felt like it was all going to make sense at the end. but then the ending turned out to be the classic "they're in a coma" trope, and a drinking and driving PSA for good measure. The main character got drunk and crashed his car and his sister died, so now he's hallucinating in the hospital. Not only did this completely kill any enthusasm I had for the game's story, but it felt downright insulting. I had spent the time playing, enjoying and becoming invested in this story only to find out that everything was false. It's the kind of ending I would have joked about before completing the game. But nope, no joke, that's how it ends.

If not for the final episode, I would have rated this a 9/10, but the ending soured my entire experience and I would instead rate it a 3/10. At times the game would drag on, but it was so aesthetically enjoyable, and the story was so intriguing that I kept soldiering on. This was clearly a waste of my time.

If you do make the mistake of buying this game, stop before the last episode and make up your own ending. It will no doubt be better than theirs.

Hands down the best game I have ever played. I wrote a poem to describe it. "10/10 would play again, and with a friend, it's a win-win, best money I've spent, you should buy it." I hope this helps you decide whether or not to play this game.
