Starfield feels like a grandpa trying to fit in with the new cool kids. But they keep telling the same stories in the same way, some kids like it, familiarity is comforting. Other kids want something more, something actually new, which is completely understandable.

Do you wanna hang out with grandpa? Or do you want to ride on a dirtbike?

Spending some time with grandpa every now and then is nice for me, so I can recommend it. Just don't expect to be blown out of the water even if you love bethesda games. I love bethesda games but I'm not blown away by any of this. It's like any other Beth game with a different coat of paint and some new or improved mechanics, that's it.

If you want a genre defining game, play Baldur's Gate 3
