You will spend a couple hours automating like steel rod production then in a few days you'll spending a 5 hours making everything look pretty

So the devs stated they wanted to return to their roots as a successor to Project Reality however the only thing that they did was add two stupid bars at the bottom of the screen, as someone who spent 10 years playing Project Reality I can tell you this, before the ICO squad acted more like Project Reality than it does now, in PR you could actually move ON FOOT to objectives; Post ICO it has become such a burden to simply walk around the battlefield. I understand the concept of using vehicles as transports however when you make it the only logical option than what you are doing is hindering the ability for the players to adapt their own method of play style. Why am I constantly being forced to play the game the way the "devs want me to". We're here to game and relax and this update does nothing but force me to literally try harder. All this hate between the casuals and the supposed comp players and somehow the casuals are the ones literally liking the update when it does nothing to promote a casual semi relaxed atmosphere, you don't change major game mechanics this late into the release of a game and honestly back in 2014 or 15 when I was just a kickstarter donor I was promised virtually Project Reality 2 and all I got was some crappy mix between Battlefield and Arma.

This game has grown too big too quickly servers are trash network lag, there's one map one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map, this game has a promise to be something big feels to me like good old arma 2 dayz days but its just dumb, its sorta fun at first try to win but once you win theres no insentive to continue playing there's no game just a mode.



Edit: Now theres two maps newest is trash and everyone gets killed by hackers, seriously if your thinking about buying this game don't spend your money somewhere else the devs dont care they mad there money back plus a ♥♥♥♥ ton more

This is me rewriting my original review because of the newest update Alpha 16, since the new update I have put in many more hours than I've ever anticpated putting in because of how addicting it is, as much as people love putting the words Alpha on things this game is rather almost a complete game, The game has a learning curve that I learned through trial and error and also with random generated characters can be a bit annoying if one of your colonist is just pathetic and has a very low tolerance for anything sightly bad. But you'll breath a sigh of relief when they die somehow and you don't care. The micromanaging is something that you'll usually have to set once for each character. Normally your just going to have to find someone to do everything that is needed and then your most likely set from their. Even though the depth/story of the characters is very loose I do find myself attached to certain people and strive to make them powerfull and happy. If you like prison architect you'll love this game.
