Pretty great!

A huge disappointment :(
Bethesda has a track record of making their games more simple over time, but making up for it in different ways. It felt like they were 'streamlining' things for the sake of the experience - and I think it worked. The games I have the most playtime in are generally the latest in the respective franchises (Skyrim & Fallout 4)

However, Starfield is the first BGS game I've played that I felt is a net-regression (ignoring FO76).
The game is stripped of many features and depth present in the previous games, with not nearly enough innovation to justify it. This game doesn't feel like streamlining for the sake of the experience, it feels like compromising and cutting back for the sake of the company's budget.

Bethesda games are by far my favorite games ever. I really wanted to like this one. But I don't. I find myself happily returning to most of their previous games, but I don't think I will be returning to Starfield much.

I'm just very sad about it :(
