Oof, okay, this is gonna be a hard one for me... Playing this game was... Bittersweet, I played every PC game till Syndicate, which at the time of release was barely playable, my favourite AC game is Unity followed by Brotherhood, and I made a hiatus of playing the AC franchise since Syndicate's release until now because I really didn't like the state of the game. I came back to see what was happening with a once beloved franchise, and I was disappointed, the sweet in the bittersweet was just me coming back to AC, assassins, the historical part of the game, the leap of faith, the creeds' origins, it felt good to be back, but the bitter part of the bittersweet is what prevailed, unfortunately what I gathered from the trailers is correct, first thing I though was "there aren't enough buildings, and the ones existing aren't high enough", is this historically accurate? Yes. Is it fun? Not by a long shot, I feel like 50% of my gameplay was me walking or horseback riding to objectives, the movement is also very slow in comparison to previous titles, even the horse is slow. Besides that, who didn't love traversing a city through it's rooftops? That doesn't really happen here and it's sad. The combat is atrocious, combat never was the strong suit of AC, but they really f'd it up in this one, it's boring and not nearly engaging enough. Plus you have to grind for levels in painstakingly slow follow/deliver/clear camps quests. I've come back, and I will play the rest of the new games, but I am not too excited anymore, I do not recommend buying this game full price, I bought it in the halloween sale and I regret it, even discounted. Sorry for the long review but I had to write this as I was pretty passionate about what the AC franchise was, so this kinda makes me sad. Overall: Story 7/10 Graphics: 5/10 Gameplay: 3/10

I won't say I bought this just to make redditors cry, but that was 50% of the reason, the other 50% are for this being well made and integrated into Hunts theme, plus, I'm a slasher sucker, I love this!

Played this when it came out on PS4 and just finished it now on PC at nearly 300 hours, both times I cried when playing it, what an absolute masterpiece, the gameplay is amazing, the world is breathtaking, the story is *chef's kiss*, and now I'll have to play the first one again because RDR2 sets up RDR and it just feels right to keep going.

This game made me cry and I loved every second of it, played it multiple times, the first time I was having fun and then when you're hit with the ending... I just broke down because it was so beautiful. Definitely recommend.

Less buggy, runs better and is way more fun than Battlefield 2042, would recommend this over the original anytime.

Unfortunately, and after 360 hours of playing this game and having a HUGE blast, it has become... Less than good, to be very nice, I played it at it's height and the game was amazing, ran not VERY smoothly, but smooth enough so that it could be played at 60fps, no problems, this is was back when the desert island map came out. Now, the game is just unplayable, it's not optimized, it does not run well at all (keep in mind I could do Medium at 60fps) and not I can't even do Low at 60fps. The game has gone downhill and Bluehole just doesn't care, it's a shame I can't even play a game I spent 360 hours in anymore. (also, just out of curiosity I tried running the game in Nvidia GeForce Now, the streaming service, where you can basically run any game because they have beast Tesla computers running their software, and even there, the game was not smooth, it lags and it stutters).

After numerous problems back when I bought this game (I couldn't even run it because of the Rockstar Launcher), after that I could run it but the infamous loadings took forever, you wanted to get into an online server you'd easily take 20 minutes between loadings, now that it's fixed, I can finally recommend this game.
