If you follow the trade arteries further east still, you will arrive at a desert basin the likes of which would challenge the Taklamakan herself. The dunes found in the Shem desert are known for their ravaging hordes of vagrants, of beasts that tower 4 men tall, of tribal wars, and of resource disputes on epic scale, as food is scant and commodities non existent.

It was here, in the trade crossroads between the warring northern states and the tech hunters of the south that a new settlement was established, to serve as an oasis for those nomads and traders that dared to cross the brutal Shem to make their trades, a settlement which would later become known to the world as Blood-Town



This game is revolutionary and subtly explores deep themes. As such, it is provocative of the imagination and good for thinkers. I can only recommend it

Dear ' on the fence and i'm not sure if i can justify the price ' future customer, i am here to regretfully inform you that i cannot recommend this game. Prior to this age, i have nearly 1000 hours in age 2, and i have played all the other age games extensively ~ so why can't i recommend this, if i'm clearly an age fanboy?

There is one primary reason i cannot advise you to buy this game, and that is because the fighting, especially late game is broken. The most disappointing part? it is so, so close to not being broken. Currently if you fight a late game battle, the fight will be comprised primarily of siege engines, especially cannons. This is because they are invincible in the current release of the game. There is no counter to massed siege, a well placed cavalry rush will not kill siege because they(cannons, mangonels, nest of bees) never miss and can fire at point blank, a sneaky infantry push will never make it to the front-line, and to top it off, if you somehow get an entire army to the front-line of siege, they can pack up and walk away as fast, or faster than your units. Did i mention they also have so much HP that you might as well forget about using archers ( like seriously, just forget it, its the same as using archers against buildings ) There is no counter to siege other than massed siege, so the current meta is simply to buy cannons and maybe some cannon fodder, like pikemen.

The game does well in nearly every other way, every time i play it i want to love, and everytime i play it the same ridiculous battle format arises, where everyone forgets about normal units and simply buys as much siege as possible. This game is not truly strategy, it does not symbolise ' rock paper scissors ' - that you all love, this game is simply who can buy more cannons :)

hence, currently, don't buy the game :) maybe if they fix the siege, then ill be happy too

this game is the pinnacle of the 21st century experience. The russians really outdid themselves this time, wow. Honestly dont mind infecting my computer with chlymidia for this experience.
